Guys, if you have run into a problem where your Lenovo Legion 5 laptop display is pitch black and doesn't seem to respond to anything but your laptop is on and running. Try these few steps before taking it to the repair shop or to the customer service for a warranty. Laptop model in this video 15ACH6H.

I went from being elated that this worked to being immediately pissed at Legion for not addressing this. I have a completely different model TWO YEARS from this videos upload. Like WTF. Fun fact: I accidentally did this without knowing the night before when I couldn’t get the screen to come on. And it turned on. I turned it on and off like 5 times to be sure it was good and when I couldn’t it to repeat I thought it was a fluke. The very next day, felt crushed when it happened again. Thank you so much for uploading this solution ❤ You are a saint.

@@PulsarTECH yeah, you rock dude. Also fun, this issue came back the next day and the trick no longer works. My guess is it’s something BIOS related, since it turns on and never posts. Really excited to learn how to reflash my BIOS🥲 hopefully this chip is compatible with the tools I’m getting. Never really done this before lol.

I had a deadline today and this happens, went to a lenovo showroom, the guys there told me that I would have to do a SSD format and reinstall windows. But the service guy would be available only tomorrow. Came to my room and decided to watch your video and It freakin works!!!!!. You have saved me a lot of time and money and I'm grateful for you. This has never happened to me in the last 4 years of using this laptop. It's crazy how a laptop this expensive has this sort of bugs😄. Thanks a million!

Thank you so much ❤ This laptop is fairly new, I got it as an early Christmas gift from a friend in November (still blown away by the generosity!) and was so worried when I started it up and it wouldn't respond. I'm not the most tech savvy when it comes to hardware, so I really didn't want to mess with it too much, but I also didn't like the idea of having to use the warranty so soon. Tried this method and it worked like a charm the first time!

I think it's related to some sort of faulty updates for the graphics card.

Is this a symptom that will get just worse over time, or is this just some kind of feature of this laptop? I've used this laptop for a year or so, and this is the first time I had this issue.

You have got to be a lifesaver man. I tried the same things you did and in the exact same order. I found out that doing it releases the excess or static power or voltage from the machine, but I really can't figure out how can this develop in the machine. It was just disconnected yesterday and it had no power since then..

Worked on my Legion slim 7 15ach6. Updated the bios but I guess it errored out in the process. Had a black screen for 2-3 hours before I decided to try and reset the laptop myself. Tried plenty methods that didn’t work but this fix was my savior. Thank you so much for you help.

Hi, thanks so much for the fix but my lenovo 5i AMD restarted differently: I followed your instructions and the laptop started with the flashing lights but the screen went to BIOS and reconfigured the software. Have to note that I updated the drivers from the lenovo website yesterday and today it did not start up. Luckily you have posted this video, thankyou so much for this content, as people are saying below YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER :)

Glad it helped! Thanks for your feedback. Installing new drivers sometimes causes issues. I always say, if it's not broken, don't fix it.

When you disconnect the cord from the laptop at first and you put the cord in the outlet I am so confused did you end up taking the cord l outa the outlet and the laptop then putting them back in after the 60 seconds?

Hi, I just bought LenovoThinkPadP52sWorkstation. One problem. The screen got black. Upon pressing the power 🔋 button, the system starts and shows where it was before the black screen. How 🤔 to fix it? Thanks ✅️
