Thank you for your video and your effort to produce it. It helped me to know now what I need to do with my dc19. I love how you English call every vacuum cleaner a Hoover lol I have a lovely neighbour who has a Dyson and also calls it a Hoover. Everybody calls their MP3 player an iPod even though it's not made by Apple. Marketing at it's best. Cheers for the video.

Thank you for a great video. Do you know whether Dyson DC19 and DC19 Allergy use the same motor? Mine is the Allergy model (blue cover) and I am reluctant to buy a motor before I confirm it will fit.

Yes they are the same all DC19s use the same standard ydk motor.

i also notice you edited rattaching the case. this has proven to be most difficult finding the right way, as it doesnt seem to want to be put back together :'( any tips? its proving to be a bitch lol
