Just changed my radiator after watching this video. Honestly such a clear and amazing video showing you what to do. Took me and 3 of my friends like 4 to 5 hours but hey saved me paying an extra £350 for someone else to do it 😂

Just replaced the radiator on my son's 2001 honda civic following this tutorial. Thank you so much! I also replaced all of the hoses, might as well if you're tearing it all apart anyways.

This is the perfect video to watch. I tried finding so many but they don't add up like this. Now, I have complete confidence doing the work without a panic attack.

Thank you so much! Very high quality video. Btw, for anyone doing this job with a manual transmission, you don't need to worry about the transmission lines, as there are none. The new radiator you buy will probably have the ports for the transmission lines, just leave them unconnected.

This way will obviously work but All the extra work is unessesary. I just changed mine on my 02 I didn't have to take the battery out or the front bumper I just had to take the hood latch off. slid it in and out had it done a little over an hour. Works great.

This guide is super solid! He mentions to move the ac condenser but doesnt show how. Just pop it upwards from the rubber mounts on the bottom, and then be careful manipulating it and the radiator. It has give but you dont want to force it too much. This was the trickiest part

Awesome! Yet another thorough and informative project guide. Whenever I am tackling a new project on one of my Hondas or Toyotas, I always check if you have a video to cover it. Your videos are THE BEST in terms of covering all aspects of the job with great camera shots and good tips and tricks and not wasting one second of the viewers time with useless filler -- every second is useful. Thanks for the Amazon reference on plugs/caps -- those will come in useful on lots of jobs -- wish I had those when I did the Corolla transmission cooler lines. I also have that same funnel from prior water pump replacement projects -- it works great for burping out the air without spillage. You must live out west. Here in the rust belt, every one of those bolts is a fight to break loose and a prayer that I won't snap off the head -- you are lucky to live somewhere with limited rust since the rust tends to double the time for pretty much every project I do. I was curious why you didn't remove the 3 hoses from the radiator before removal and replacement -- was it just too difficult to remove and replace from the bottom with the radiator in place? Or was it just a matter of minor convenience that it saved you from crawling underneath to access them? Keep up the great work and thanks for putting in the extra effort to keep these focused and informative (with great camera shots of key steps)!

Thank you🙂 i really appreciate it...yes i left those connected cause the plastic panel underneath gets in the way so you have to bend it down or remove it to do em, so it saved me time to leave em connected

Was the coolant spraying out of the coolant resevoir? I ask because that's exactly what my car is doing. I have coolant all over that side of the engine. Looks exactly like your engine looks like with blue dried coolant all over it. Did you try changing the radiator cap? I did but unfortunately the car has a aftermarket radiator so I was unable to find one that fit right.
@backyardchevy328

Yea, but its cause it has a head gasket issue thats slowly getting worse...but then a rock hit the front of the radiator and knicked it to where it was leaking from the lower front corner..so that's why i ended up replacing it

A guy replaced my radiator and now my temperature gauge keeps going up and down. I’m guessing it’s because he didn’t burp it. If he didn’t burp it does that mean I’ll have to get a new one and have that one burped?
