How can I reseal the shingles on my roof without compromising the roof particularly if the shingles are discontinued?

Match it best you can, I suppose that's what I'd do, or choose something new and start a section at a time from the repair and work out from there as budget allows.

I need that same repair!! What's that repair cost? I got an estimate today for $750 which seems high.

That's not bad. There's supplies. They roll a couple of trucks. They have to pay insurance and fuel and healthcare for the workers. Tools and labor are not cheap anymore. If it comes with a warranty against leaking, probably worth it.

Why would they design the vent to vent out your roof if it's a dryer vent? You would think that would be continuous hassle do to gravity. Plus, I don't know about anyone else but my husband is a deisel mechanic and his work clothes get greasy no matter how much their washed there is always a little residue left, the lint from those are scary flammable, I'd hate for it to be scattered around on our roof during triple digit summers..lol.
