This is so easy, I can't believe I ever called the maintenance to do something that is SO EASY to do. I do not mind paying a little money to replace the lever and handle. It saves me time and worry about having anyone in my apartment when I am not there over something so easy. Great video.

Thank you for not cutting out the arm adjustments. Many only show the finished work making it look so easy, and then you get in there and get frustrated because it doesn't work completely on the first try. Very good, realistic video.

That toilet tank looks pristine. I opened mine after a few years today and it looks like black plague from medieval times. Changing this flush lever as we speak. So good when you can diy this stuff Been doing similar for years. Imagine if you had to call a handyman, plumber or electrician for every little easy fix. Saves you a ton with know how.

If your toilet tank is black, it's probably full of black mold. That stuff releases poisonous spores, and although you're probably fine, it has killed people before. Take a spray bottle, fill it with warm water, and shake a bunch of borax in there. Once the borax is good and dissolved, spray it everywhere the mold touches. Maybe put some borax in the toilet tank too so it'll dissolve and sanitize your tank as it fills. That'll kill the mold. Once it dries out you can just wipe it off.

thanks for this. you saved me an embarrassing return to the store because the arm was too straight to fit inside my curved tank. i didn't know i could actually bend the rod to fit until you told me. (i was afraid it would break...) 👍

So helpful. I think it actually made your video better things not working right away. You showed how to make adjustments. I will give this a go. I probably will regret spending the last month flushing via opening the top and pulling up the arm haha.

Dude! Great tip about being able to bend the rod down; that's what fixed my problem. No other video of this nature that I watched mentioned that. I was seriously going to return this lever and buy a different one that I thought would work.

I wanted to add that the 'bend trick' appears to only work with metal rods. Plastic rods (like the one I purchased) won't bend, they'll just snap.

Nice video brother you solved my problem.... I didn’t know flush Handel also comes with metal rod which makes easier to bend away from the tank but with plastic u can’t do that

Mine just broke as well. Thanks for this. The issue with it now is that the handle will not pop up like it used to.I have to wait for the float for it to come back. Maybe I need to bend the handle some as well.

Thank you sir. Should've watched this video before I went out and bought one. I have a curved tank also and the plastic rod was hitting the tank, I tried bending the rod and it just snapped. I'll go buy the one that you can bend.
