Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your work. 2 months ago I started getting interested in car mechanics and I couldn't have a better instructor. Are you planning to do some ''theory for beginners'' videos too in the future? For example a video explaining how the coolant system works or the brake system. You cover it sometimes in your videos but doing one video of ''basics'' for each section would be awesome. I'm saying this because - for instance - as a beginner I had to watch a lot of your videos (and other videos) to fully understand what you're doing in this video and not just apply it. Thanks again and after spending several hours watching cars' ''how to'' videos on youtube I can tell that you're the best. Keep it up!!

Thanks to you tube and guys like you Chris, I saved money and a lot of aggravation with waiting on a mechanic! And thank you so much for showing us how to bleed our new wheel cylinder! I hit a problem with my master cylinder going dry. I have 2 compartments to mine. One is for the front and the other is for the rear. Well I assumed the bigger rear cylinder was for the rear wheels so that is what I monitored. ! Wrong! lol The front one which holds very little fluid actually controls my rear wheels! So your tips on bleeding was a God sent! Because at first, I had no brakes and the light was on my panel. But now, it's all good thanks to your video! :) Here is a tip. If your master cylinder has two areas, better watch both of them to start going down on fluid level!

NEVER USE A REGULAR WRENCH OR OPEN END METRIC/SAE WRENCH ON THE BRAKE LINE BOLT CAUSE THE BRAKE LINE BOLT WILL ROUND ON U VERY EASILY. THEN YOU'RE IN A WORLD OF HURT. USE A LINE WRENCH....THATS WHAT THEYRE CALLED.....THEYRE MEANT TO FIT AROUND A LINE BOLTS LIKE THE BRAKE LINE BOLT SO THAT U DONT ROUND IT OUT BY STRIPPING IT

Nitrle gloves to keep brake fluid off your hands. Brake fluid will remove paint so not so good for your skin. Use a funnel to fill master cyl also. Don't start a circus act trying to pour brake fluid into master cyl w/o funnel. Eventually, it will make you sorry when it's too late.

Hey again chris . Just a quick note to pass along to everyone based on what happened to me today when I was changing out the brake cylinders on my son's 93 accord. The compression fitting was rusted to the brake line like you mentioned could happen so I took the cylinder off with a small section of brake line attached. The fitting and the brake line were completely rusted together and I couldn't break them apart.I took a "bernzomatic" torch I got a few years ago at home depot and heated the fitting and after about 10 seconds I was able to break the compression fitting free from the break line. Had to do the same on both sides and it worked like magic both times. Thanks again chris . hope this helps someone.

did a full rear brake overhaul today, all the parts came to £150 and learnt how to do it from these videos. everything was going fine until i got to taking off the cylinder... managed to brake 3 tourque keys trying to remove the retaining bolt, ended up having to remove the shock absorber to drill the bolt head, we then had to cannibalise bolts from a bicycle to fit the new ones. after that all happened, the nut around the brake line got wrecked and had to file it back down to 10mm this was meant to be the simple bit bit took hours =[ cheers for the videos!

Thank you for this, i flushed my brake fluid hoping to fix the spongy pedal which it didn't. Then my friend suggested replacing the wheel cylinders happy to hear how easy it is.

Great job on the video. Your videos are getting a very professional tone. I've changed many brakes over the years, so I didn't see anything new. But because I found your video entertaining, I watched the whole thing. You're on a roll. Keep it going!!! I look forward to your next.

Great tutorial! I'm amazed that you didn't use a line wrench for the hard line. I've rounded one before then I had to use Vise-Grips to remove it.

Hey chris just a quick note to say thanks for all the work and, "oh my GOD", all the editing you must do to produce your how-to vids. I'm waaaay older than you but I watched the drum brake vids cause I have to go out in the garage to do my wife's rear drums now and the refresher was cool. Great job again and its fun to laugh while watching your vids. Take care Jeff
