Shouldn't be hitting or pressing on sockets but if you must, use impact sockets over standard chrome ones.

At 2 minutes, 19 seconds, checking the lower BJ, it looks like there is movement between the BJ stud and the steering knuckle, possibly indicating wear in the taper of the knuckle itself. Have you found units with a worn knuckle? Solutions?

I usually put ball joints, bushings and bearings in the freezer while im taking everything apart and then i apply some heat to the a-arms or knuckle whatever part you are working on. Ball joint, bushings, bearings... It has helped alot. My local tire garage has a heater duct that they cut out and made a little access door and ive seen them put parts up there to warm up. If it works for them....

@@Candoguy it doesnt take long for the steel to match environment. An hour is plenty of time. Apply the cold to the bearings and a little grease and some heat to whatever part the bearing will be inserted into.

Will keep hunting for style of ball joints my older rides use, they press down and on knuckle not arms... using a c-clamp press is a pain..

Good video. Honda owners, tusk tool does not work on our machines due to different ball joint design.

I used hammer and socket to remove. Then a little heat to seat new ones. Slid right in with heat.

My grandson has a Kawasaki Teryx 800, it's not the racing or high performance one. When installing the ball joints, how do you keep the ball joint from spining while you tighten the nut? Thanks ahead of time.

Think my 17 brute force has bad ball joints on the left front. The wheel is cambered in at the top pretty badly. Hoping that’s all it is

I'm gonna ask a stupid question. Does this Tusk tool work with the ball joints that are threaded. Is pressing right on the bolt going to mess threads up?

Whats your thoughts on using heat? There is a debate in my workshop if heat is a good method? I.e. heat the heck out of the socket and in theory pop the ball joint straight in (if you have it hot enough)
