Thanks for the video. I hope really the EU enforces easy battery replacements by the manufacturer in the future. The amount of glue used in all of this electronic devices is annoying.

Honestly they really need to design something more user friendly for self-repair it's not that hard

When I watch this video, I miss my QC15, when you just had to remove the battery from its external compartment without removing any earpad. The only tool you needed then was your nail. I guess this is progress.

I thinking about buying a qc 45 to try to fix it because it’s cheap, seller says, when charging a red and white light blink and it doesn't charge, the headphones won’t work, what would be the problem a battery issue or charger port damaged, would it be worth buying to fix it? Also another one the left side is dead is it easy to fix a dead headphone audio left side?

What do you think about skipping the step where you open up the other side in order to de-solder the battery wires from the circuit board. Instead cut the wires at the battery and then use solder seal wire connectors to connect the new battery wires to the old wires?

Tried following the steps and got a persistent hissing sound from the left ear cup after removing the ear pad and back plate (even with the original battery connected), Problem did not go away with the new battery replaced.. I could get the hissing sound off either by turning off ANC or placing a palm over the left ear cup... Is the headset toasted? Thanks

these are so good, but I just can't count on the battery to last forever and have to do surgery on my pair just to keep them for longer. the xm4 and xm5 seem really tempting now. :(

It's weird that they went this route. On my QC25 model I could just put in a fresh AAA battery.

This is the reason I never buy expensive battery powered headphones...I might have to throw it away some day which is a bummer. If the speakers are still in great condition, and the battery is dead, why the need to throw it away??

do I need ONE or TWO battery for a headset?

My bose headphone QC45 is not working. When connect to charging its blinking yellow and white continuously. When switched off charging point though blinking for few seconds but when disconnect charging cable blinking stop. I tried to reset, so pressed power/blue tooth button and multi function button for more than 30 second but not able to reset the headphone QC45 or not blue light show.

This is no easy task. Honestly, I don't think I can do it.

This is a joke. It’s intentionally built this way to just toss and replace the unit. I get it, if I owned Bose I’d run the company the same way to maximize profits/revenue

Wow! This is a total and absolute incompetent design. I always enjoyed Bose QC series but after watching this I'll never buy another one. They could have done it with an AAA battery instead. Really pathetic.
