Awesome video, thanks! I have the exact same one in the video since 2020 and finally just a couple weeks ago I kept hearing the beeping after pressing any of the buttons. Surprised to hear many people saying the battery lasts 1 year, maybe I just got lucky since I didn't have to change it for almost 3 years? :P

I changed mines per video, however when I try to press the lock button, the remote makes a sound, sort of like a song, but it doesn't work. I have the exact same remote as the video. Do you have any advice?

try re-pairing the remote, sometimes it may loose sync

My battery is dieing every other month is there anything you could recommend? Same remote with a Duracell.

Mine did the same after years of use. Sadly the remote needs to be replaced

@@SonicOrbStudios I think these remotes are garbage.. my mom's system had to have the remote battery replaced 3 months after purchasing it then 2 months. Mine lasted 4 months and then a 3 months. Two different vehicles. My car had it installed a month earlier then hers. And I use my vehicle way more often

I opened the FOB and no battery compartment on this from 2016. It has been having issues keeping a charge. I charged it using a cell phone charger so I guess I have to buy a new one.

Yeah if you have a rechargeable remote, the battery can't be replaced. Consider replacing

Does the remote resets after you change the battery?

It should work as normal after powering up. No reset or pairing required under normal circumstances

How do you know when the battery needs changed?

when it's low you'll hear it beep about 5-7 times a few seconds after you hit any button. Generally they last 1 year

Rule out a bad battery, try another. Otherwise it's a bad fob
