Really helpful guide. For anyone else attempting, the brake disc screws are Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) M6x1. Very easy to strip, so get yourself a Vessel screwdriver. Torque spec for caliper pin bolt: 35 N·m (3.5 kg-m, 25.5 lb-ft)

@@Martysworkshop hello mate, I've snapped one of my carrier bolts when tightening it. Do you have any advice on how to get it out? Obviously I want to replace it ASAP. Everything else ran smoothly but I've over tightened it and it's snapped in half. Thank you.

Can you get the carrier off? You may need to remove the disk screw to alow it to move over, if that is the case there shuld be some bolt sticking out so you shuld be able to clamp it with a set of vice grips and imscrew it, bit if the bolt has snaped off flush so there is nothing to grab on to then you will need to drill it in the centure and hammer something in int to undo it, I like to use torx sockets, it's a bit rough but they grip really well, or you can use easy outs. Hope this helps

I’m changing the discs on my Swift and I cannot undo the carrier bolts for love nor money, I’ve tried various anti seize and penetrating fluids, I just can’t get them to move.

Yea these was stiff when I made this video, are you using a braker bar with a hexagon socket?

@@Martysworkshop yeah 18 inch breaker with hex socket…won’t budge…gonna try heating it with a torch next….don’t know what else to do beyond that

@@Martysworkshop apparently you can get some type of spray that freezes the bolt to shrink it…I’ll try that if heat fails….don’t know what I’ll do should one of those bolts shears off though…I’ll be properly screwed then

If the head snaps you may need to drill it out, it's not as bad as it sounds with good drill bits.
