Hey sub family, If your rotors are faulty, they may produce a squeaking, squealing, or grinding sound when you apply the brakes. Warped rotors usually emit a high-pitched squeak, while severely worn rotors tend to make a scraping noise. Also If you feel a vibration in the steering wheel then there is a possibility that the front rotors are out of specs. And it's good to check the thickness and runout gauges. But One of the most common causes of warped brake rotors is excessive heat. Every time you press the brake pedal, the brake pads clamp down on the rotor to create friction. This friction generates heat, which can cause the rotor to warp if it becomes too hot. Another common cause of warped brake rotors is hard braking. If there is any Steering wheel vibrations they are often due to an issue with the front rotors while rear rotor troubles will cause vibrations that are felt in the brake pedal. I also want to mention that Wheel hub assemblies are built to last 100K miles or more. Many last the lifetime of the vehicle. Yet, it's also common for wheel hub assemblies to fail well before 100K miles. Also when your wheel hub assemblie needs replacing is when you hear a A humming, rumbling or growling noise that increases with acceleration or as the vehicle turns. A loud constant whining or grinding noise when the vehicle is in motion. Clunking noises when driving over uneven road surfaces.
