Why not show the actual stretching of the leather and stapling? Not very helpful to show just the result.

Rick, I hope the link you gave in the description was an affiliate link, because you, my friend, definitely deserve a cut of the sale on this one. You video was awesome. I thought all I'd find on KZfaq was maybe a generic video showing how to replace console leather with something from the fabric store. You gave me exactly what is needed (and I need the arm rests, too). Even though I'm just a songwriter/musician, you video made me confident I can do this repair! Thank you. I’ve had the center console ripped on my Dodge Dart for over a year. It’s only 30 for the new cover. Imma definitely fix this myself

Regular heavy duty staple gun won't work that's why he doesn't show the process.

The foam underneath is also damaged on mine. Is there a particular replacement you would recommend?

Where did you get staples that were so shallow? We’re having a hard time locating staples that won’t punch all the way through. The staples we pulled out were 3mm deep. Yours were 6mm?

My 2006 arm rest padding is completely flattened and it’s uncomfortable to rest the elbow.🙁

What staples did you use & which gun. A standard manual gun & T50 staples don't penetrate the plastic. SMH, this is the most important part of the whole process ffs...
