Replacing a fan clutch on a 97-06 Jeep Wrangler with a 4.0 engine is a fairly easy task, but you can have trouble with the fan nut. (IF) you choose to NOT use a fan clutch tool, and use a pry bar or something to hold the water pump, be EXTREMELY careful to NOT break one of the tabs that bolt the belt pulley to the water pump. If you do, you'll be replacing the water pump too. If you're having issues with the fan nut, don't worry. All you need is some leverage. Use a cheater bar, and 9 times out of 10, it'll come loose.
