This video shows you how to install new front sway bar links on your 2009-2014 Ford F-150. Sway bar links connect the sway bar (stabilizer bar) to other suspension components. They have a movable joint that can be damaged or wear out over time. When that happens, the joints get loose, and rattle.

Yeah don’t put grease on the studs to keep it from seizing up. There’s a reason why the nuts have a nylon insert. You have to remember that sway links see a lot of vibration as they’re part of the suspension, and the idea is to prevent them from vibrating loose. You can use a tiny bit of anti-seize, but using grease you risk the grease eating away at the nylon insert and causing it to come loose.
