Just replaced my fuel pump with an Airtex fuel pump on a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan ES with the 3.8L engine. So far so good. The gas level reading seems to be accurate as well. I followed the instructions and watched videos like this one, which was very helpful. Thank you. Also replace the fuel filter!

12/28/2014 Good video. Replaced the fuel filter on the 1999 T&C minivan with 195000 miles on it. I don't know when the fuel filter was changed last. Snapped the connection on the fuel pump, so I had to replace the pump. The plastic was brittle so I think God was telling me to change the pump too. The hard part was getting the gas out of the tank. The tank was full from filling just the day before it quit. No good way to siphon. Things to remember is get the vehicle up high enough so you can move around underneath. Loosen the ring around the pump before unbolting the tank. Hammer and screwdriver worked fine for loosening. Don't drop the tank, just let it tilt down. Don't disconnect the fill hose. Once I got the gas out enough I was able to take the old pump out and put the new pump in. Reconnected the battery and turned the key on and off several times to allow the pump to prime, then it started right up. O'Reilly's has a pressure gauge to rent, no charge. 50 psi and it is working great!

You can use a rubber strap oil filter remover to unscrew the fuel pump retaining ring. This can be used while the tank is still attached but the tank will need to be lowered a couple inches. This is especially helpful to know for people doing this on the ground without a lift. Use a jack to lower the tank after unbolting the brackets.
