This is a tutorial video on how to teardown and replace the LCD and glass screen on your Apple iPhone 11. (The entire IPS LCD + Digitizer +Glass screen + frame assembly)
Its the same procedure and same glass screen used for all carrier models.
All models - ALL IPHONE 11 MODELS
A2221 (Global market)
A2111 (USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands)
A2223 (China, Hong Kong)
I used the following tools:
1. Pentalope screwdriver
2. Y Tip Tri Tip screwdriver
3. Small Phillips head screw driver
4. Hair dryer, Heat gun or Hot Plate.
5. Prying tool
6. Suction cup

You didn't mention reprogramming the screen with the serial number from the old screen and replacing the sealant adhesive.

im trying to fix my screen for the second time. the first time i took it to a repair spot. but now that im opening the screen, it looks different in the inside. like the metal plat is attached to where the battery is and not the screen? and i don't see none of the screws

Hello dear, i went to change the glass in a repair shop, but it's showing a warning message "unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple display". Did the repair shop changed my original screen or it's a normal thing. thank you.

apple doesn’t sell the original screen unless you’re like partner in another big company. they sell lcds on amazon but ur going to get the non genuine apple notification but it goes away after a few days

When you put the screen back together, dont you need to apply adhesive or it will be held securly by 2 screws only?

I dont remember him saying to lift that little T shaped flap over the proximity sensor. There a nitch under there that i was just about to tear off. Careful.

@@njmusic837 is right. Phone is never waterproof and never advertised as such by Apple. It is "water-resistant". Once cracked, or used for any amount of time, the water resistance is nil. Sweat, debris, heat, cold, etc all negatively impact water resistance. As I've said elsewhere on this post, if you buy screens from a reputable distributor, they will come with a replacement gasket, which will help return it to Oem, but will never be as good as right out of the box.

Is this just the way to remove the glass only, not a new lcd? My lcd is fine but my glass is smashed and only want to replace the glass ? Can anyone help

Sure, if you have thousands of $s to spend on machinery to successfully separate the LCD/OLED from the glass without damaging it and properly reglass it.

That's because you have to have the correct screwdriver for it you have to go to Amazon or to eBay and buy a pentalobe screwdriver that's made exactly for those two screws that sit on either side of the charging data port for an iPhone.

As mentioned, the battery needs to be disconnected first! After opening the phone OBVIOUSLY

It's not unplugging the connectors first that does the damage, it's plugging the connectors in after the battery is plugged in that could fry the backlight.

you will be wrong, you have to work on the phone in order to get to the battery connection. :) otherwise it will be like that chicken or egg, what came first.
