This video shows you how to install a new oil filter housing and cooler on your 2006-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. If the oil cooler and filter assembly has begun to leak, is clogged, or is otherwise problematic, you may find your vehicle losing oil or coolant, which could lead to engine failure.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:

No need to remove the fuel rail, just unplug injectors and flip lower plenum over with fuel line still connected, also no need to remove the AC bracket, just unbolt it from the intake and pull the bracket back so it clears intake

I have to say this job by far is the most time consuming and uncomfortable job ever… word of advise for those with lifted jeeps or high tires… remove the front tires and lower onto stands… otherwise you’ll end with a sore mid section, arms and knees.

I just did this today, couldn't find the service lit on the program our shop has-started watching this didn't get very far-just went my own steps, you're correct. The part kit I got was a Napa set that includes the intake gaskets to. I did remove the aluminum heater tubes, I left the main wiring bracket in by removing upper nuts and loosening the studs near the battery bay (they're not easy to get to, long 1/4 extension and wobbler). There's 2 wiring plastic rivets in the back of the lower intake that where too difficult to remove. I held everything off to either side and everything worked out just fine.

2006 is a TJ 2007 to 2011 was a 3.8l engine totally different so what are we doing this on?

You may want to edit the video, you didn’t show when you torque down the 5th bolt on the lower intake manifold. Looks like it was edited out for some reason. All in all great video.

Ahhh I don’t think the oil coolers were till 2011 .. 3.6 ? Started 2012 in wrangler

At about 6:30 you show removing the studs with an E5, but then the scene cuts and you are removing the intake and the studs are still in place. WHAT??? Did you remove the studs or not? This is very confusing,

Isn’t this just for 2012-2018? This looks like the 3.6l engine. 3.8l engine is 2007-2011.

Since the seals on the bottom of these things are prone to crap out, I wonder if a treatment of AT-205 reseal would be a good application. I changed my housing when my jeep was 5 years old with 60k miles due to massive leak. I’m approaching 10 years and 110k now and if these thjngs onky last about 60k then I’m thinking of adding the reseal at my next oil change. I don’t suppose it could hurt. I’ll also get some lubrication and preventative maintenance on other areas Including the rear main seal.

There is absolutely no reason to remove the fuel rail from the intake unless you enjoy getting gas everywhere. This is stupid.

About 6:30 into the video I HATE the fact that you cut the video because while removing the bolts it puts pressure on both the bracket and the intake because there is a fixed washer that will push back. It almost seems like the video was cut right there on purpose because you didn't want to cover that... Either way it would've been much better with more follow through and this is an example of that. Oh well I'll go watch a better video because this one is lacking...
