Great video i just finished doing this procedure for the first time and it was a huge help, found that the original plenum gasket had broken and popped out. I was burning a gallon or so a week of oil, kinda made it look like i had a diesel rolling coal but definitly not good.

Thank you for this very helpful step by step video! You even included socket sizes and torque specs. I have been putting this off for a month because I am at the age that I no longer have any desire to work on my own stuff anymore but couldn't bring myself to pay twice what I did to have it done. Took two and a half hours of back and for forth and searching for equipment to do the one side and like 15 minutes to do the other lol.

I have searched quite a few videos and no one seems to have my problem. I have everything undone and the bumper clips are no longer holding on. However the clips on the frame that are attached to the grill part of my bumper will not let go what so ever. Everyone else has ease of removal except me. Tips?

Ok, so when you removed the seal, there was a thin metal piece, on top of the bearings, you didn’t show it when you cleaned the top of the ridge. Then it was there again at the install. (Time stamp 8:09 and 8:26) What is it? Is it part of the bearings because it’s not part of a new bearing from my parts store, nor was it part of the new seal. I’m asking because it’s basically 4 pieces and I lost one and I’m not sure what to do about it. It had broken and caused damage to the seal, and was grinding down inside. I don’t want it in there if it’s not required and want to replace it, if it is.
