This video shows you how to install an oil pan on your 1992-1996 Ford F-150. The oil pan holds engine oil to be pumped up to the engine. A leaky or damaged oil pan will lead to low oil levels, or no oil at all, which can cause major damage to your vehicle's engine.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:

The gasket goes on the pan then up into place....use light tack spray to keep it from sliding around..👍

Put the gasket on the oil pan with the alignment studs and thread them in to the block to hold the pan! It's kind of a no brainer

This is a 4.9? I have been trying to get my oil pan off and found my 5.8’s oil pump won’t allow the pan to come off. Should have known better, the exhaust was a dead giveaway 😅

Thx I’m bout to put a turbo on a 4.9 I need an oil drain to the pan from the turbo I wanted to make sure you can take it out before I turbo it.

Thank you for the video. However, I'm 74. I can just see myself getting so frustrated with the new pan gasket that I'd take a sledge to the engine long before I ever got it in place! :D So, my question is: Can I lightly silicon the gasket to the pan, then wait 24 hrs before sticking the pan back in? Thank you!

Question: Is this the same engine (4.6L V8 2-valve) Romeo/Windsor, or block, as is in a 95 town car, crown vic, etc? It appears to be... however, the service manual for those vehicles claims that the transmission should be removed before removing the oil pan. Is that the same for this vehicle, and this is simply a workaround to avoid removing the transmission?

You first paste the gasket in the carter with some silicon, then you can lift the carter in place avoiding it to slide out of the position

This 9:00 - 9:30 DID NOT WORK this way for me. I have a 92 5.0L V8 302 and not only is the cross member in my way (directly under the oil pan) but also my exhaust line was in the way, as it crosses right between the engine and transmission connection! Additionally, I had to remove my oil pump in order to get my oil pan to even move!

Should have went ahead and replaced oil pump while this far especially if its still the factory one. States Let the motor down slowly yet in the video it slams down 😂

Dont check the oil level. Just know you added the right amount. Leave it in place. Never take it out. Trust yourself.

I know right. It’s funny how all of these so-called KZfaq automotive channels always pick the year making model where the absolute easiest. You have a 5.8 as well like I do 94 Ford F250. You have to pull the intake Plenum off, you have to essentially take all of the wires and vacuum lines off the top you have to take the fan shroud off, and it is a serious undertaking. It’s not hard, but just very time-consuming.

.. contact cement that gasket to your new pan rail, not what this guy is doing .. the Span is Too Long for that .. don't use Silicone, as it can block your Pickup Screen & Wreck your Engine .. a dry Fel Pro will seal much better .. also, replace Pump Drive, Oil Pump & Pickup Tube while you're there with Upgraded Components .. 🧰👨‍🔧
