This video shows you how to install an oil pan gasket on your 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado. The oil pan holds engine oil to be pumped up to the engine. A leaky or damaged oil pan gasket will lead to low oil levels, or no oil at all, which can cause major damage to your vehicle's engine.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:

Have to do this job because I did not know to silicone the 4 corners when I already had the ENTIRE ENGINE pulled out after replacing the pan gasket Now I want to cry omg

Thanks for the video. Just replaced the O Ring on the oil pickup tube in my 2012 Silverado. The job was long but resolved my low oil pressure issue.

You make it seem simple. I took notes. I studied mine. I'll be doing it without a lift though. I think a long reach lo-profile floor jack should work for Diff support. Here goes...

Great work. I’d just have to clean that pan a bit better and maybe put it in a solvent tank. Hate for that gasket to fail in the 1st few miles and not be able to tell where the leak is coming from.

That plate he mentions at the beginning, take an extra minute to remove it and that bar just to the right of the battery. I fried the BCM in my Silverado trying to work around those. I’m assuming the ratchet arced against either the plate or the bar.

Watched lots of your videos on you tube. Wondering if you have wver had an issue with a leak that looked like pan or rear seal and changed them and still have same oil leak? I changed oil pan gasket the rear cover plate, gasket and seal also did oil pressure sensor while has trans out. And still have the same leak as before. Weird thing is. Only seems to leak when driving it. when parked just reving it for the same amount of time as that had just driven it there is no oil leak.

Always better with a lift I have to do it on my back in the rocks 117 today here in las vegas just lovely no air tools no electric tools all wrenchs its going to suck probley leak anyway

Two questions: 1. Removing the cross brace and steering rack should require an alignment. (I just had mine done and the alignment is messed up now. It was aligned about a month before this work was done.) Do you recommend the alignment be checked??? 2. What is that cool tool (not in your list) for extruding ALL the RTV from the tube? It looks kind of like a fish scaler, but I know that's not it! Who makes it and do you have a part number?

So I noticed he drilled out the rivets but do you have to install new ones once you drill them out. Is there a chance of leakage through those river holes? Noticed the gasket was not fixed going in like the OEM sure it’s not an issue just wondering.

I have done every step but seems like the oil pan just wont come off. I made sure i got all the bolts by counting on the pan gasket. Any ideas?

Oil pan bolt 18ft lb 2 long bolt in back 106inch lb.

Couldn’t you just disconnect the motor mounts and lift the motor a couple inches? Then drop the oil pan? Wouldn’t that be a lot easier?

Why did you drop the rear differential and the drive shaft? It's literally just a oil pan COVER there's nothing running through that would warrant removing all that. Unless I'm missing something then I guess sure.
