If you're doing this in your driveway without a lift, it's a good idea to get a axle popper/slide hammer kit, as well as one of the fork-shaped poppers. I used the fork one on the drivers side and the slide hammer one on the passenger side, they come out super easy with the right tools.

@@RBTheMechanic yeah to hit it out with pry bar from back side is great if you have lift but is difficult if you just having jack stands..with slide hammer puller you can just do it from the wheel well.

@@luisrivera9929 Maybe it's rusted in there? Try spraying it with penetrating oil and let it sit for a bit, the try again.

Good video used it as guidance to change mine out--would have been better if you had take a little extra time and explained how much to tighten. I was a little confused about the top nut that you had to pry down the ball joint and how much to tighten it. My Jedi mechanic tightened it on up for me as it was slipping in there when I tried to tighten it. Thanks again.

Yeah torque specs are always problem I had issue with some one leaving somthing loose cuz he had diffrent car

Looks manageable. My 2010 is making the clicking sound when turning right. I just replaced the upper control arm on the left side a couple of months ago, and it's almost the same procedure.

Click click on turns is most likely the axles but double check all of ur work

How did you manage to slip in the axle so easily. Everything came off good up until I got to where I tried to put the axle in. The axle was the same. The same length. The part that slips in was the same diameter and the same splines.

It’s jut kick try Angelina the c refrained clip open end down and put tiny bit grease to hold on center

@@RBTheMechanic i got it installed! I was trying to push it on by holding the inner side of the axle. But I ended up rewatching your video again and I seen where your hand placement was and it went right in and I was like “Oh wow” 😅😅🤣🤣 thanks for the video man! Cheers! 🥂

My question is I need both my axles changed driver and passenger. But last time I tried purchasing a passenger side axle it was roughly 4-5 inches too short compared to oem. Is this part number the right size?

Well it’s what turn the power for. Transmission to wheels anyways. What’s year make model u have ? Seems that’s $300 off average price. If u got to ur local mechanic u can get it done for like $580 both axles

That’s not bad price their axle is expencive But is it labor or part or both $349? How ever this job aftermarket I would charge 250 each

@@terrelle5087 oh axle seal!!! Yeah I think if u buy the seal take it to ur local mechanic ka our Maxx is $150. Check with ur mechanic and make sure he install the seal propperly and know if he has done it before I know honda seals go and get pushed all the way in they don’t need to go all the way same spot where it came off
