This video shows you the process of replacing worn rear brake components on a 2012 GMC Terrain. The Chevrolet Chevy Equinox is identical. This would apply to model years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Each step is demonstrated and explained.
Some tips are provided to make the job go easier and also to save you some time and money.

Basic Metric Socket set including:
11mm socket for Banjo Bolt (hydraulic line fitting bolt) (30 ft-lb)
14mm socket for Caliper Slider Bolts (20 ft-lb)
15mm socket for Caliper Bracket Mounting Bolts (90 ft-lb)
22mm socket for Wheel Lugs (140 ft-lb)
T30 Torx Bit for rotor retaining screw
Metric Wrench Set including:
10mm wrench for Caliper Bleed Fitting
15mm wrench for Caliper Mounting Bracket Bolts
Vice Grips
Needlenose Pliers
Pry bar
Breaker bar
Torque Wrench
Hammer
Brake Bleeder Kit
Brake Cleaner
Anti Seize
