Had just enough texts to explain what was going on, and the camera shots were perfect to show location of where everything was. I did mine today, took just short of an hour because of a stuck screw in my door handle, but otherwise it's perfect. I agree with others saying that it's an excellent video.

Excellent video. I was able to replace this part using the video. Nothing else to add on. This is the way....although he makes it look easy. It will take some time to do it right. Blessings!

hi, i gotta nissan altima 07 i was wondering if you could do a video how to replace a valve cover i notice to remove it theres an engine mount on top of it preventing it from removing. but i heard before doing that u need to put wooden blocks at the bottom to hold up the engine is that true or i dont need to do all that, just replace the valve cover?

Yes, that engine mount needs to be removed first. I also read about using wood blocks or supporting engine with hydraulic jack with one wood block. I tried it and was gonna record, but my jack is bad and it kept slowly lowering down after few minutes of holding engine. I had to put back the mount and wasn't able to replace valve cover. Then I almost bought a engine crane to do this job ($150 used), but my AC went out, and CVT transmission started jerking... So I just gave up on Nissan, parked it in garage and bought another car for now.

You do have to hold engine somehow. As soon as you remove that mount, engine starts falling back towards the firewall.

my altima isnt all in great shape too, i replaced my transmission once and my catalytic converter. the car makes small funny noises at times when pressing the gas or starting it up but i do understand the car has over 172,521 miles on it so i dont really pay too much attention to it. i have a powerbuild floor jack that can lift 4,000 lb ill use that to hold the engine when i replace the valve cover

+Shannon Sandifer I'm not sure, but should be similar to Camry. You start with door panel removal and than look for way to access door handle.

@@DIYtime from what i can see the door on your video is opened and in my car the the door doesnt open. Because it has child lock and the handle is broken....so the door remains close

Try to take apart the handle inside and pull the cord going to the lock. This should open the door.

I need to change a rear door handle as well. That's a serous pain in the ass. You've literaly have to take the door apart, metal parts and all to get to the handle mechanisms. The front are a lot easier.
