Excellent. Very informative video. I have to do this job on an 05 Saturn Vue. I’m assuming much, if not all, of this is the same for said vehicle, seeing as Equinox and Vue have a lot in common from 2005.

Ok, good video. Makes it look so easy. But, I don't know where your demo vehicle come from but it looks in mint condition. Not a trace of rust on the upper shock bolt. Now for those who think it so easy, think twice. The upper and lower bolt on my 2006 Equinox extend at least 3/4 of an inch outside the retaining nut. Rust has taken its token. In order to fairly easily remove the bolt one would need to clean the exposed rusted filets of the bolt. Upper one impossible to reach, Lower one very difficult. So, even with loose nuts, you have to fight your way out. Believe me you could be in for quite a challenge. The lower bolt took me about 20 minutes to get it out with a 24 in / 1/2 drive pry bar using a pipe extension. 1/4 turn at the time , clank by clank praying the bitch would not snap on me. I'm pushing 72, be realistic, don't paint a pink sky of the situation when it is not all the time. Best of luck and best regards. Yes I completed the job and replace the rear wheel bearing on the same occasion, also not an easy job.

That's why you: pb blast it, torch it warm., hot, wack the bolt head couple times first

Great how to video! Thank you! The left rear shock on my 2015 gmc terrain is already leaking at 25k miles!??? Not going with ac delco obviously so it looks like kyb gas a adjust is what im going with.
