Brake Pads: Posi Quiet Ceramic Brake Pads (Part #: 105.09040) at www.autoanything.com/brakes/61...
Rotors: Centric Premium 120 series Rotors (www.stoptech.com/products/rotors/centric-premium-rotors) ...but the ones in my video where harmonically balanced drilled and slotted by DRT Motorsports: www.drt-sport.com/content/2004-mitsubishi-lancer-es-premium-cross-drilledslotted-rotors-rotors-front-pair). Just a note in case anyone notices, these are non-directional rotors since the Centric 120 series rotors have straight vane (not curved) designed. Normally drilled/slotted rotors, like those from Centric directly would have a left and right side due to the curve vanes.

Thanks for the vid. Side note, make sure to use brakeleen and towel to clean oil off of new rotors. As noted, silicone paste the pins for smooth travel and boot life, not anti seize. Make sure brake fluid level is not very full when sqeezing calipers in as it pushes fluid back through, or open bleeder with tube attatched to remove old used heated fluid near caliper.

Yea, great clear video, had the MOT Centre replace the brakes 2yrs ago which cost me a small fortune. I've got all the tools to the job myself next time, no excuse not to. Cheers, George in (UK).

You should NOT put anti seize on the guide pins it will break down the rubber. Use silicone gel instead.

Thanks! I've since took them out and placed silicone gel instead..sometimes when recording you're too focused on filming then the right tools. But thanks for bringing this up.

Any rubber safe grease will be fine for the slides, red grease aka jenolite is the most commonly found.

Hi Can you please tell me where you can download the guideline or manual for changing the 2003 lancer brake pads? I did not find it from Mitsubishi motors website after signing in. All there is is warranty manual and maintenance manual that does not cover what I need. Thanks!

I just done mine today and the socket size was 17mm for caliper bracket and 14mm for caliper

Hello i have a 2004 Mitsubishi galant es 2.4 the size of the bolt to remove the rotor is M8-1.25 X30mm You will need it Get them at lowe,s home improvement..they come in a white bag of 2. About 1.40...or just take 1 bolt out from the timing belt cover take it to parts store or home depot match it up and make sure you spray some pb blaster around the hub and old rotor that's all you will need to remove rusted rotors

Please help I can't get the caliper back in. Not enough room. How do I open the caliper up?

Use a C-clamp. Put the old brake pad on the piston. Then use the C-clamp to squeeze/push the caliper piston back in. Then you should be able to slide the caliper back on with the new brake pads. Good luck.

Got them on ebay, but that seller/store doesn't seem to be there anymore. Here's another ebay listing i found. No, the 2003 was the previous generation for Lancer but it shares the same concept. I made this video because I couldn't find someone with a 2004-2006 video so hope this helpful but watched other videos before doing mine.

Sure hope I did, but this torque wrench makes a slight tick only which you can hear I hope over chatter in the background.

Those discs are rotational/ handed and you have them on the wrong sides. The holes and groves should angle the other way so that they clear dust properly.

great video, that car has lots of rust, one thing I noticed, you say use 18 mm and 15 mm sockets when they are 17mm and 14mm and yes your socket looks sloppy on your bolts

Nice job sir, just to ask, why didn't you steel brush the rusted parts?,is it okay, to put paint on these rusted parts?
