Mitsubishi Lancer 2003 ES - Rotors Replacement

The brake rotor is part of the braking system. When you apply the brake pedal on the inside of the car, the pads compress around the rotor, slowing or stopping the vehicle.
The brake rotors should last from anywhere between 30k to 70k miles.
Torque Spec
- Caliper Assembly to Knuckle Bolt: 74 ± 7 ft-lb (100 ± 10 N⋅m)
- Slide Pin (Main/Top) of Caliper Assembly: 63 ± 3 ft-lb (84 ± 4 N·m)
- Slide Pin (Sub/Bottom) of Caliper Assembly: 37 ± 3 ft-lb(49 ± 4 N·m)
- Bleeder Value Screw: 70 ± 8 in-lb (7.9 ± 0.9 N·m)
- Wheel Lug Nut: 73 ± 7 ft-lb (98 ± 10 N·m)

Tip if you remove or loosen the brake master cylinder cap you don't need to loosen the bleeder valve also use a old brake pad when pushing the cylinder bake to the original position. Better not to push the brake pedal all the way to the floor when finished just in case there maybe rust deposit in the master cylinder bore that might damage your seal. .

@@donkeykongchang I change all the front rotors. The torque specs you mentioned are too tight for my Lancer so I just did minus 5 to 10 N.M.

The torque spec is the same. The Mitsubishi Lancer 2003 Factory Shop Manual, which i use to repair my vehicle, is valid for the 2002-2003 Lancers.

Never ever place axel stands on the body🤦🏼‍♂️ they go on the chassis / frame if the car!!

he has the correct spot i believe, on the frame just behind the door sill, where there is a notch where the stand should be placed
