The brake rotor is part of the braking system. When you apply the brake pedal on the inside of the car, the pads compress around the rotor, slowing or stopping the vehicle.
The brake rotors should last from anywhere between 30k to 70k miles.
Torque Spec
- Caliper Assembly to Knuckle Bolt: 74 ± 7 ft-lb (100 ± 10 N⋅m)
- Slide Pin (Main/Top) of Caliper Assembly: 63 ± 3 ft-lb (84 ± 4 N·m)
- Slide Pin (Sub/Bottom) of Caliper Assembly: 37 ± 3 ft-lb(49 ± 4 N·m)
- Bleeder Value Screw: 70 ± 8 in-lb (7.9 ± 0.9 N·m)
- Wheel Lug Nut: 73 ± 7 ft-lb (98 ± 10 N·m)
