In this video, I show how to replace a burnt-out angel eye light bulb in a BMW without spending a lot of money. I start by removing the cover and the screws, and then I demonstrate how to take out the old bulb and put in a new one. I also caution viewers to be careful when removing the metal shroud and offer tips for testing the new bulb to ensure that it is working properly. Finally, I explain why I had to change the bulb in the first place and how to reassemble everything.

Hi there, hope you are well.thanks for the demonstration on the fix. I have tried it and it worked ,take a few minutes to take unit off and to replace bulb and to install it back, saved me close to 3K. Dealerships will tell us to replace headlight unit. great work and video!!!!G

LCI headlight, but the engine bay is pre-lci and i think diesel. Mine has air filter on the headlight and good luck have fun trying to change it from the top :)

Well spotted... I've stated many times that my car is a Pre LCI and that I've installed these headlights a long time ago... This demonstration isn't about which car has what placed where... Its core focus is to demonstrate that the bulb can be replaced. Whether its being done as per the video or having to remove the wheels and what not. Its still going to get the same result 👌🏼

No... It will not fit as they're longer in size, you will encounter errors on the dashboard, & the bulb will burn the housing

@@SeniorBandido The guy is probably talking about some cheap LED kit. It won't have 160W obviously, most chinese manufactureurs and websites just claim false wattage. You can get a LED kit for 20bucks easily, 30 or 40w is more than enough. If you want to keep the OEM halogen look, just use the original bulbs. More wattage will make errors appear and it will probably burn the reflector inside the headlight, making the end result even worse in the near future.

there are some h10w led bulbs, do they work straight away, because most led kits have huge heat spreaders, but the one i m talking about is just a reular sized led h10w bulb? please answer, thanks

As mentioned in the comments... The H10w LED bulb does not work... 1. Errors appear on the dashboard. 2. The light output is absolutely nothing... 3. The bulb holder is meant for halogen bulbs to get the most light out of the bulb as possible... For LED, you need to put the proper LED Bulbs with the heat spreaders

In certain situations, a bulb that is nearing the end of its lifespan can emit a lower intensity of light. By replacing the bulb, you can eliminate the possibility of having a dim light due to a dying bulb.

Pre LCI Halogen is a simple T10 bulbs... Push in type... Pre LCI xenon uses the same H10w bulb... Replacement is relatively the same just a different looking bulb holder

@@Realpreshaanb last time I tried to remove the bulb from the original fitting it twisted but never pulled out. As if it wasn't meant to come off, I will try it out once more now that I've seen you do it successfully

It will do that, you'll need to twist it and rotate as if you're undoing a cork... Its a bit finiky but super easy once out... Another method you can try is using a thin flat screwdriver to make an opening for the bulb pins to pass through... But be careful that you don't break the bulb or the reflector housing

Because its not bright, it shows errors on the dashboard and is a waste of money... You can't use LED bulbs in the original housing as it is not meant for it. (I've mentioned this in the comments already)

In all fairness, this video was made to show viewers that the bulb can be replaced easily instead of replacing the entire housing... I did try led bulbs however it looked like the bulbs weren't even turned on and gave errors on the car. So to have it fixed, OEM was faster, and still reliable, and goes well with the look of the car instead of LED which is only viewable at a certain angle👌🏼

Yes that's correct. 1 bulb per headlight as it illuminates both rings (its a single light tube design)
