In this video I do a complete disassembly of an HP Pavilion dv7 2114es. Caps Lock and Num Lock lights blink every 4 seconds, no signal to display, HP support site says that error code is for CPU. I dis-assembly it to replace the CPU and assembled it back together but the error is still there.

It would have been rather helpful if you had included some voice explanations of what you are doing, including what CPU replaced what existing CPU.

Have to take the friggin screen off? It's a miracle! I'm doing the cpu upgrade & broken screen replacement at the same time. Finally! I catch a break. My luck is turning around

Try this before replacing CPU kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iM6EZ9irm7XbfoU.html. I replaced the CPU bot nothing happened. After replacing CPU I made a reflow to the video chip, still nothing happened. After that I putt some copper plates like in the video, the laptop went from CPU error to video chip error. In conclusion I broke the video chip and the laptop motherboard.

Can I replace the processor of my HP Pavilion DV7-3200 with a AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Processor with Radeon Vega 8? The socket I have is a S1G3 (AMD) and the socket that APU needs is an AM4(AMD), I've read that AMD to AMD socket change is possible. Is it guaranteed that CPU change will work? Will it erase my data? Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can do that. I think your laptop is too old and the new generation processor is not compatible with it. By the way your data is saved to HDD and if you change the processor it will not delete your data.

from what I'ver read, CPU failure is indicated by just one blink at a time. I'm trying to replace CPU now. We'll see.
