4:43 It says to tighten the upper ball joint nut to 20 Lb Ft. Is that correct? That seems pretty low, especially given that there is no castle nut with a cotter pin to hold it in place.

I’m sure you already figured this out since it’s been a couple weeks, but I’m doing this job now, and the replacement ball joints come with a castle nut and cotter pin. The original ball joints I’m pulling out didn’t have a castle nut however it looks like they were “locknuts” like with the nylon thread. That said, 20 foot pounds should be enough to keep it all together. If you are concerned, I would advise using a little blue thread locker on it for extra safety.

@@atomicmuffins1328 Thanks. I found another source that listed the spec as 40 lb-ft so that's what I used. So far, so good,
