The power button on your iPhone 4 isn't technically essential, but a broken power button is still pretty irritating. Not being able to turn your phone off when you need to gets old quick. So today, we are going to show you how to replace the power and lock button in your iPhone 4.

actually you do not have to wait until it dies! my mom had a broken power button and i found you could go into the accessibility options and turn it off via software!

I just recently fixed my original iPhone 4 because of the broken power button which I had ordered replacement parts from iFixit along with their pro kit which is defiantly worth it

Actually it is important...especially if your phone freezes and you need to do a hard reset 'Power/Lock Button + Home Button'. Mine just did this...finally I have an excuse to buy the iPhone 6. :)
