Thanks a lot! After I dropped my Y700 laptop, the LCD wasn't working as the display cable connection had come loose. It got fixed after opening the screen and adjusting the connection. I would never have figured out how to open the screen if it wasn't for your video. You saved me a lot of money on service charges.

My laptop have the same problem. When you turn it on did you had just a little blink like blue color for less then a second?

My screen was blacking out randomly at different angles. (I travel with it a lot and dropped it a couple times) I took the cover off, wiggled the cable and pushed it upwards. Now the screen is working properly again! If I have issues again I know that I can take the screen off and reattach the cable. Thanks so Much iSmart!

Thanks for the video. The LCD wasn't seated properly from the factory, and gap had developed with the back cover. Getting the three screws out, sliding the LCD down and reseating was all it took.

I really appreciate you posting this video. I dropped my laptop while still in my backpack and the screen stopped working (no cracks or anything). I ordered a genuine used screen and implemented your instructions and it worked 😂😂. I was so glad cause I really like this model PC. Ur a lifesaver.

Very helpful video. I've got this laptop and have to replace the screen because of bubbles showing up. I wasn't sure about removing the glass on the screen, but now I know it's safer to replace the whole screen.

Mine broke because of a manufacturing error. Lenovo wouldn't stand behind their product and I thought it was worthless until now, thanks!

As they glued the lcd like this; screen problem is so guessable. Backlights of mine have been dead but my repairman still hopes to separate the lcd. Hope he does his job well

Thamk you. Ended with ordering just the screen (my fault), had a bit of hell with separating the screen from the bezel, but somehow it works now.

Found this video useful to reach hinges on y700, thanks a lot! The only suggestion: always disconnect battery before disconnect screen! Sometimes not doing it can cost you GPU chip. Be carefull with it.

The hinge on the left side of my computer is broken and separated from the cover just below the screen, so I have to leave it open. Do I have to replace the entire back cover or is there a cheaper way to repair it?

Just type LCD for the your computer name and it's model number, you can also ask the seller to make sure.

I think it's similar process, I bought the LCD on Ebay. make sure by watching other videos on KZfaq.

The screen can go bad slowly over time. Usually because you're not being careful with it. I travel a lot with my laptop so It spends a lot of time in a back pack and in a rush. Also, I have two of these laptops and it has a problem where the screen will randomly turn on even when it's been set to sleep mode and the lid is closed. Also, the hinge on the bottom gets tight sometimes and that can cause wear on the screen. All screens will have problems after a while, I kinda beat the shit out of mine so I can't really say if it's a bad screen or if it's my fault. I'm pretty sure that it's a little of both.

Hello my friend, I'm wondering if I can somehow fix backlight bleeding by removing the panel and checking some things out? I read that sometimes, screws are too tight and they make the panel bend a little bit, exposing the led to the sides. Do you think it can be fixed by removing the panel try to cover the sides or something?

i think that something is behind the lcd causing that bleeding. make sure the is laying flat in its place without using any force. also don't tight the screws too much. good luck

I realized the panel is not laying flat, the mount itself it's actually bending just a liiiitle bit the panel which causes the bleeding, but now it's worse, for some reason after I put the plastic cover from the bottom back on, there now is another bleeding because the little cover is doing some force to the mount, I dont know what to do anymore

وادي التفاح APPLES VALLEY I fixed the backlight bleeding! I put a piece of folded paper behind the panel and now I have minimal backlight bleeding! now I just have to carefully figure out how to fix the one that's causing the bottom plastic cover

مرحبا صديقي عندي نفس اللابتوب من فتره شهر او شهرين بدأت تظهر في منطقة معينه من الشاشه بعض الخيوط الرفيعه يظهر بوضوح مع اللون الابيض لكن حينما امسح الشاشة باصبعي يذهب الخط هل هي كهربة زياده ام مشكلة ما؟ يعني يا دوب المس الشاشه باصبعي يذهب الخط مباشره

Studentt Saverr اعتقد ، المشكلة من ارتفاع حرارة الشاشة، اللوحة الأم أو وصلات كيبلات الشاشة . عند استعمال الجهاز تأكد من عدم وجود أي حاجز يغطي فتحات التهوية في الأسفل .

السلام عليكم عفوا انا عندي موديل ال 14 انش من الجهاز وعندي مشكلة في الشاشة اثناء اللعب فقط وبعد ما شيكت عالنت طلعت المشكلة موجودة عن كثير ناس وطلعت المشكلة في وصلة الشاشة وممكن تنحل اذا شلت الكيبل ورجعته او عالاقل حل مؤقت فهل بقدر اني اعمل نفس الي عملتة عندك في موديل ال 17 انش؟؟ انا عندي مانيوال الجهاز ومكتوب فيه انه عشان اوصل للشاشة لازم افك كل اشي فطريقتك اسهل بكثير فاذا في مجال تلقي نظرة عالمانيوال وتعطيني رايك ويعطيك العافية على مجهودك
