Lots of help. Used a ton of super glue to hold the metal plate back down. I also cleaned and applied new thermal paste in the process. This laptop is still kicking butt 7 years in.

mine's bought in 2016, after putting an M2 and SSD, 16GB Memory, it's still really fast

Thanks for the video, in all the others that I have seen they replaced the keyboard + touch + cover. Thanks to you I have been able to make the replacement of the keyboard for my lenovo legion 520. It is a bit scary to use the soldering iron with the plastic but it was perfect.

i just took a plastic prybar and gently lifted it evenly, it seems sketchy but it just has a firm connection

@Therainbowpoopp,Sir just disconnect the keyboard ribbon from motherboard,that's all.Watch the video for disconnecting ribbon 2.30. Thank you.

hello i changed the keyboard but now the keys are goin inside like it's not placed well.. i noticed u did something at the end (28:20) and u have the same problem.. is it fixable?

bro my lenovo y700 lid is broken u have to replace hinges with lid can u tell where LENOVO Y700 parts are available becoz in 2022 its difficult/impossible to find lid *hinges are broken not display >> just want to replace body .. also i need keyboard replacement

Lenovo is now a shit laptop manufacturer ... chinese quality ... no more brain ... behind ... where are the thinkpad style ... ??? And support for lenovo ... is now shit as well ... stay away from Lenovo !
