Thanks Taryl. I found your channel yesterday, my old boss showed me. Your videos are great. They depict my day at work quite well. 20 plus year Lawnmower Mechanic. So good in fact they should be training videos. There's your dinner.

My uncle passed away several years ago. I inherited a late 90s ccr3000 toro. It didn't run then, sat in my garage for 5yrs. Just recently I wanted to get it running for my mom. Took the carb off, cleaned the tank, replaced the line. Unbeknownst to me I didn't know there was a rubber needle seat in this carb. My parts washer fluid ruined the needle seat. Swelled it. Thanks for posting this tutorial. I owe you one.

I don't have a TORO snowblower with with a Suzuki engine but....these shows are very entertaining, keep it up! They are about to blow up! They should be getting 100s of thousands of views. These are very well made and very funny! Your cameraman is great and your story writers are great! Wish I had more money and clout I would sign you guys...good old fashioned American men! Hell yeah! I hate carba-TRAITORS! Carba-traitors put power equipment repairmen kids through college! I would fly out to were ever the hell you guys are to be in one of the episodes. Keep it up! Thanks for the very helpful video. You make it look so easy putting the torsion spring (thickness of baby's hair) back on. Just a question though: would the carburetor's performance be affected if I did not use the spring? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer on this.

Thanks! I would never had put the spring back the right way without your video. Btw, I sharpened a wooden stick and put som Autosol on it and polished the seat by twisting the stick. It worked, but still I bought a petrol cock for the hose just in case…..

Is there a gasket between insulator and the carb?
@kailarsen6148
@kailarsen6148 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Hobo- I know your question is kinda old so you've prolly solved this long ago but in case someone else is wondering the same thing... Yes- a gasket is needed on each side of the insulator. In video, the old gaskets are prolly still stuck in place because I didn't see him handling any gaskets either. NOTE: If you buy an aftermarket carb online it will prolly come with 3 gaskets & go together like this: Carb > Gasket > Insulator > Gasket > Intake > Gasket > Engine
@akbaxb165
@akbaxb165 2 жыл бұрын
@@kailarsen6148 Gasket>insulator>gasket: are the gaskets before and after the insulator of the same shape and size? My understanding from your comment is that the gasket between the intake manifold and the engine is of a larger opening size included with the aftermarket carb. I realize that it is an old situation. Perhaps you could elaborate on this. Thanks for your time and explanation.

Just an observation. You forgot the red hose clamp on the fuel line to the inlet to the carb.

Taryl Fixes All Is there a reason Toro says you must use a TCW-III outboard oil? I always used Stihl synthetic, but I changed to the Toro stuff this year.
@TarylFixesAll

TCW-III is the lowest grade of 2-cycle oil. They want you to AT LEAST use that.

Being BORN ON THE BAYOU I don't need a snow blower. Unless A BAD MOON RISING goes the wrong way and we get a bad blizzard down here. Then SUZIE Q could help me with clearing the snow. I am pretty sure that MARY is not to PROUD to help also. The only thing we have to worry about down here is WHO'LL STOP the RAIN while i'm LOOKING OUT MY BACK DOOR watching the GREEN RIVER rise with my FORTUNATE SON. Ok I think ya'll get the theme to my story ~!~!
