Great video, thanks for sharing. I tried this on my car earlier but befire I watched this video. I tried to remove the lower bolt without lowering the control arm and I gave up in the end. I will try again by lowering the control arm

Thank you so much! I am getting some weird noise rear left and I'm pretty sure it is this issue. I would like to change it myself, but I have a bit of fear. 2 weeks ago I changed rear breakpades and discs. Can you please tell me what type of VW Tiguan is this? Mine is 2016 1.4 tsi 150hp

After changing both rear shock absorbers should I get an alignment ?

It is a good investment to get an alignment. But you will be just fine without one. Unless you'r tires wear unevenly after replacing the shocks, i wouldn't worry too much about it

If they are worn will the car make a sqeaking when you turn corners or drive is that sgin to change them

Maybe, it can also be one of the bushings in you'r suspention. My sign to replace mine was, the car easily bottomed out on bumps with people in the backseat

Is it mandatory to lower that lower control arm? I feel like you could accomplish this without doing that

Thank you for you'r question! It's much easier if you lower the lower control arm, that way you get enough room between the shock itself, and the coilspring, to access the bottom shock mount bolt with you'r tools. Thank you for watching my video, i hope this answer was helpful to you!😎👍🏼

Зачем менять амортизатор если буфер сжатия в труху и опора. Салейнтблок в кулаке в очень плохом состоянии. Это хреновое спокойное творчество мастера не дотягивает до ремонта . Мастер делитант

Is it covered under warranty?

Thank you for you'r question. I don't think this shock is covered under warranty. Since it's so old. But if you install new shock's and they have a expectancy warranty on them, then it depends how the shock's wore out, and if they wore out while the expectancy warranty is still valid. mine like quick squeaking sound when on road, maybe the mount, maybe the shock it self, but man my wallet say otherwise, hope it last til i got the money
