Hyderabad's old city still remains old. Hitech city is a new city completely built from scratch and not related to old city by any means. Although it is a great start by the government but somebody must do something to improve the old city. I'm giving Hyderabad as an example and all major metro cities comes under this category as well especially Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Ranchi has got a 3 Storey Hawker Market in one of the busiest markets. The market has got many hollow bandstands, allotted to each hawker, over which he/she displays their shop during daytime and then lock it up inside the bandstand while closing the shop. Indian Government should Introduce some strict laws for Cars Holder... For ex-Nowadays every person who is earning good goes to office by Car even when he/she is single.... So government should make rules to prevent traffic and introduce many good public transport like Buses...... And other step to develop Our country on wider level is to make Smart and Greenfield Cities and many as possible cause those cities will automatically remove burden from cities like Mumbai, Banglore, Delhi and Gurugram cause people will approach cities which are nearer from their Home town.... So making new planned Cities on some Rapid Speed is the only Option... India should make minimum 20 Smart, world class and fully working cities in upcoming next 20-25 years....

Step 1 : start from ground 1: remove beggars and slums 2: cleanliness is the major important thing (penalty for those who trash roads) - dustbins should be there in every 1000 m 3: the public washrooms should be available in every 7 km 4: replace auto and rikshawalas to taxis and e rickshaws 5: 2 child policy should be strict 6: govt should create jobs in cleanliness committee (beggars can be taught to clean ) 7: planned transportation should be done step by step, replace Indian railways to intercity fast metros- like Switzerland) 8: trams and new busses 9: artificial rains can reduce pollution- solar panel is good environmental solution 10: work life balance and health insurance should be mandate

Controling a population is needed , more population give more polution , indians need education about basic ethics like cleaness , unhygienic , improvement of infrastructure is needed , planned cities should be made . And the slow is too different . If we compare china from us we are 40/45 years behind. We should learn from them , our speed is too slow. After 75 years also people are still stuck to pov❤erty

Underground wires, strict Traffic rules, make small streets pedestrian, one way roads, discourage new development in already congested area, clean streets and make hawking illegal, nice waste management by solving these small things our city problem will be 90% solved

Aap ne jo Hawkers / Thela ka baat kiya, mai usse fully agree nahi karta. Aap sabko nahi hata pao ge. Insted, Thela/Food Truck ke liye spaces phele se plan karna chahiye, har 100- 200m distance par, taa ki Foot Path / Road par kisi ko Thela lagane ka zarurat naa pare. Food Trucks bahut convenient hota hai, both buyer ke liye aur seller ke liye bhi, kyu ki agar uska buisness ek purticular area me nahi chal raha because of low demand to he/she can move to another place instantly. We should not try to ban economic activity, we just need to Plan it properly, taa congestion na ho.

I have a flat in society on 3 building, in mumbai such big building and with so much land is very less to see. But our building needs redevelopment any builder is offering us whatever percentage we want until they get to unauthorised hawker consisting small scale hotel for auto drivers, garage, tea stall has literally broke tye border wall and moved completely inside like we live in locality where their are no slums and no hawkers entirely residential and peaceful and their mandir hospital school. But still they come here slowly and when we file case they expect money or something as they we have been here for years. Builders now say they will offer us what we want if these hawker get out without much hustle and money.

Why don't we build artificial island and make a city and settle half of our population over their, in this way our agricultural land will be intact create more job opportunity... Or create a new city in barren land.. where we can settle millions, water can be easily provided by long canals...

India lacks institutional structure which could facilitate the planning of the cities. There is no political willpower to make such changes. Only gujarat had some form of structure for planning of their cities in form of tp plans. Till the motive of the government either remains limited to freebies or religion such institutional changes will not take place.
