For those of you who have a diesel vehicle, you most likely know what diesel exhaust fluid is, but for those of you who are wondering what DEF is, you should give this video a watch.
I give a brief explanation of DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) and then go over how you can replenish your empty DEF tank.
If you're just interested in how to fill your DEF tank you can skip to a 01:51.
If you're curious as to how much a 2.5gal box of DEF costs online, here's a link. P.S. It's usually cheaper to pick up in a gas station, hardware store, or auto store.

Wish you would have covered how to empty the DEF tank. RV's usually sit idle for months, sometimes years, so any DEF in the tank is going to go bad. Draining that expired crap and refilling with fresh DEF before hitting the road is a must, unless you want to get stranded in the middle of nowhere.

I had an idea for a future video - I would love to see an audio system with an amp, a sub, and speaker upgrades. The sprinter has a horrible sound system and I need to upgrade it and would love to know where to start

DEF is sometimes called adblue. Where I live gas stations take the empty bottles for free. So I can buy it, fill my tank and throw it away.

The last time I had a diesel was in the 80’s. Diesel got complicated. Hope someone posts a solution for the container. 🌿🌀🐾💗

We had a driver grab one of these jugs by mistake thinking it was antifreeze. It literally melted the truck, caused about $20,000 worth of damage 😆 So don’t use def in the radiator lol

use the empty tank for a pee when camping. some people run a hose to outside of van to collect then dump later

Wow, I didn't realize your def tank is only 2.5, ours is ~6 gal. I fill about every 1/2 oil change interval. P.s. I think thw plastic can be just recycled, I mean, it is recyclable plastic and the contents is meant to be burned to improve emissions. Makes sense? But that's not an official answer.

Drivers at my part time job leaked DEF into the shop . Yeah, I mopped it up. I think it smells like pee 🤣😂. I had to throw the mop head away.

You make it sound like you're "changing" the DEF like you would change your oil: out with the old in with the new. Rather than topping up like you would your radiator or your windshield washer. Semantics, I know.

Anytime i have to fill the DEF on my work truck it always leeks out splashing on my shoes. Then i have white stuff on my shoes the rest of day and I feel like I pissed on my shoes 😁

I wonder which legislators/EP regulators had friends or family who owns stock in DEF manufacturing concerns. Then, how much money they made when they turned this mandatory DEF thing into a federal law, and forced all the newer diesels to buy and use it. Probably a lot of money, is my guess. It's also probably the real reason why it exists, despite all the environmental rhetoric made trying to justify it.

Just delete it and move to the sticks where “they” don’t have emissions testing and then you can forsake all those boxes bottles and just drive the dam van lol
