Thank you so much for this! I wanted to start over completely in Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection, but because nobody other than me really still plays this game, there was absolutely NO info anywhere on the net. I read that even the devs said at some point that you simply couldn't start over, that you could only overwrite, which is bull.. I had no way to locate the save files either. BUT, the second trick in this video really worked, so now I can enjoy the game again from the start. So thank you so much! Really helpful video!

Dude. I thank you so so much. I believe I messed up my character saves with mods on MHW (Monster Hunter World) and I uninstalled all the mods without making my characters not have any mods on them. That broke the game. I launched the game after and boom, black screen of death. And I tried to uninstall and re-install and all that and it still didn't work. So I'm desperate. I look on reddit, steam guides and everything. Nothing helps. So I decided to search for how to completely delete a save(s) and found your video. This right here, was the solution I was looking for. Thank you so much man. I subbed and liked, you deserve it. Simple, clear and reliable video. Three years late but hey, you just helped me out big time.

@@Taigrys Hello - I'm so sorry, was a while ago and do not exactly remember what was going on. When I can I will attempt to review the episode and see if I can provide some info. All I can remember is having to do/undo something for granddaughter- but ill try to see if I can answer your question. Will need a cpl days do to time constraints.

i messed up the setting in Aeterna Noctis. there is no reset settings in game, and in the local files there is no file called save at all. i was able to find the user data file and delete it. but without finding the actual local save file im back at square one. please help thank you

I dont know if this is because of the recent update, but I cannot locate the specific game file within the user data folder. What appears are four additional folders wich contain the games, but none of them match with the code for the game I wish to reset. Anyone have any ideas?

Will this work to reset Skyrim scripts after trying to unlock higher frames? My skyrim has an audio bug and the physics are messed from increasing the frames (fps and physics are linked in bethesda games.) I just want to reset the whole game to default settings, I don't care about saves.

In the options of Inscryption you can hit a button at the bottom that says “reset save data” it takes you back to the beginning of the game (after you click “yes I’m sure” a million times).

U can press Shift + S and it will open a config that lets you start from anywhere in the story

will this completely reset the game files too? i installed a mod on a game and after an update the game crashes on startup everytime. the author of the mod said to simply delete the mod path folder, which i did and no resolve. it's not a steam community mod

hey, so I managed to delete the save file on this computer with this method, but when I enable the steam cloud thing, the game goes back to the save that is saved in the steam cloud, I want to remove that steam cloud save file and make my new playthrough be the one saved on the steam cloud, do you have any idea how to do that? I just want the new save file to be the one on steam cloud, that's all.

Can you reset Divinity 2 save files? Joined a friends game that had mods and it screwed up my game. Im not subscribed to any mods but it says i have them, and i dont have a mod folder either. figured the only way to get rid of them is to reset the game. (already uninstalled and reinstalled but the mods still show up in game and not in the workshop)

Will this for DCS world. My the screen settings on the game is stuck on Multi Screen I only have one screen and on the beginning of the game I can't see the settings in order to change back to regular full screen?

Does this work for Planet Zoo? My game got broken - when I built fences next to pathways then I couldn't branch of the pathways because it wouldn't let me, and if I built the fences first and then tried to place the pathways next to the fences it only would let me do it at a huge distance, and it was never like that before. I tried re-installing the game but it didn't work, and I can't find any save.ini or saves folder in the local files ):

Well, what if you want to keep the steam cloud on? Is there no way to actually delete game saves from the steam cloud than actually just disabling it? I have searched for the answer to this question for 3 days now.

Evergarden doesn't have the Saved folder (of any sort that I could find). BUT the second method, finding the game number and deleting the data worked. Thank you!

my issue is im trying to play a game on steam,called "the bus" using the beta option that just came out,im using my thrustmaster wheel and pedals (no clutch or shifter) i go to steam,i set it on disable steam input for controllers so game regconizes it,it does,i set it up,and i also used the keyboard,but my issue im stuck on is when i click on default for the keyboard and other options it will reset it,but now instead of default for my wheel it says reset device,when i click on it it doesnt wanna reset it back to default,theres an added feature to program it,i tried it it seems to not regconize the pedals,so now im stuck and unable to reset my wheel settings back to default,i went to steam,i enabled steam input for controllers,it doesnt even detect the wheel,same with normal default input settings,and theres no steam cloud feature for this game,so any help to reset it back to default

I changed the resolution on an older game ( Penumbra Overture) because i wanted to replay it again and idk why, but i thought changing that might help in some way. but no, it made it so i can only see the top like 1/4th of the screen and i cant get back into settings to change it back :( Uninstalling didnt fix it so im not sure what to do next to be able to play it

With the first method I couldn't find any save files, second method and the installed game's number wasn't in both my HDD and SSD. Trying to reset Battlefield 1 because the screen is too zoomed in, and I can't reset it in-game because the setting is outside of the screen. Also, every time I start BF1 I get a BF2042 teaser which I can't close because that button is also offscreen. HELP

@@yhanhugo3182 Yeah, when opening BF5 or 4 you go in some sort of BF menu thing, and not in the game. It's kinda hard to explain, but from there I can see all my BF games I own. From there I could change the settings for my BF1. I think that that's how I did it, not sure though...

Thanks, there was an achievement on Clustertruck that seemingly required a reset, but the game doesn't give you a great way of doing it, so the last bit really helped me. Make sure you delete any json files too Remember you can also make a backup of your game files if you're like me and are replaying a game.

For some reason I can't reset the progress on Sniper Elite 5 doing either of these tricks. It doesn't show any save folders, but even if I delete everything and load the game it takes me right back to my current progress.
