what if the cell was given to u by a friend that moved away and after i did the hard reset it said something like attempt prohibited but i guess it still reset now whaen i turn on device it goes right to Samsung welcome screen which asked for email linked to account and password neither i was told i would need or can now get from friend half a world away ----CellularRroz please help i will donate money to your site

What is the difference between the soft reset, and hard reset?

hard reset you dont need the screen, it's done only with the buttons so if your screen is not responding you still can do it.
