08 chevy Silverado 6.0 RAN OUT TO SHOP AT MIDNIGHT AFTER WATCHING VIDEO, IT WORKED!!!!!!! the dealership charged me 300 last winter to do this. thank you!!!!!!!!

My tensioner pulley went out and serpentine belt came off causing me to run without alternator charge briefly. Replaced pulley and belt. A few days later I tried 4wd and got service 4wd sys message. Searched the symptoms on YT, found this video, and tried the procedure. It worked! Thanks KZfaq and this video...saved me lots of grief! Oh mine is a 2013 3500.

Bro I know you posted this 2 years ago but just like hundreds of the comments I've had a similar outcome, my 4x4 stopped working which of course thru the "service four wheel drive" light and code in the duramax. It was on for 1 year until my transfer case completely fucked up and stopped working, I replaced my transfer case with a brand new one from General motors instead of rebuilding thr old one... I most likely forgot to mention my transfer case had a massive crack adding to the inside being grenaded. That being said, after spending $ 2300 I obviously thought that would fix the issue..it didn't..I went thru the 2 fuse compartments in cab and under hood, no luck, replaced 4x4 switch..nothing..factory reset..nothing....I FOUND YOUR VIDEO AND AFTER ALMOST 2 YEARS I HAVE 4X4 AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH I COULD HUG YOU RIGHT NOW NO HOMO YOU MADE MY NEW YEAR 2022 OFF TO A GREAT START
