Thank you very much for your video. Interesting, clear, dynamic and straightforward. I have upgraded my 2017 22.5 inches iMac. I have installed 32GB ( 16+2 ) and SSD ( 1TB ) but it does not boot. I have checked GREEN LEDS and 1st and 2nd are lighting when I plug the computer and press ON, the third one does not have light...that led is referred to the GPU. Should I have to change the PRAM battery? How can I make my computer work? Any tip ?

Hello! If I had a dark screen issue with my older MacBook Pro retina 2013, where the battery isn’t replaceable and there’s no option key but only ALT, should I use alt instead? And then P+R? my macbook pro has this issue where it randomly shuts down when I leave it on sleep. Also sometimes the time reset to Jan 1 2017 after that. It's not that of a big deal but sometimes its annoying. I reset the NVRAM and now it works fine again

I've already sent my Mac to get it checked out by IT, but I still wanted to say this anyway, I tried resetting the SMC and the NVRAM but my Mac wasn't responding at all. Last Monday, the last thing I remember doing before my Mac completely shut down (I heard a crackling sound, like it suddenly crashed), was that I was scanning a document. Once it was scanned it was on my desktop. For some reason I decided to open the scanned document and press save at the top, and right as I clicked save, it shut off. I didn't need to save it, cause it was already on the desktop, but out of curiosity I just clicked it anyway. I don't think saving it was the problem, but that's the last thing I did before it shut down though.

Good video, but it didn't help me much with my problem. A MCP mid 2009, the charger started blinking on green color and stopped charging. It blinks green also when the battery was removed or I installed a new one. Any idea how to fix it or what could cause the problem? Thank you.

Is there a way to know if I succeeded resetting my SMC or not? "macbook pro 2014" like other videos they say keep it plugged in and if resetting was successful the color of the charger will change Green Amber Red or something.. I tried their way before I found your video but it didn't work and colors never changed and I tried yours unplugged and I'm not sure.. My issue is that I've just replaced the whole screen but the brightness is lower than normal that's why I'm trying to reset the SMC.

I reset my PRAM, and it works, but audio glitches still occur afterwards where I have to reset PRAM all over again. And it takes longer to hold down cmd, option, P & R until I hear the startup sound. Any suggestions?

I tried the first option, and it worked. My MacBook pro was just asking me password again and again after being loaded for some time for a right password, as there were some files opened which were not letting it turn on and show the desktop

When resetting the SMC you said to hold down the following Shift+Ctrl+Opt+power..for 10secs ...and then power on the device...but pressing those 4 keys including Power button does infect turn on the device...

Once my MacBook pro (e 2011) gets to about 50% battery (a new battery may I say) it starts to get SUPER slow. Years ago it happened and all I did was "calibrating the battery method" and it worked. I did this already and its still giving me their problem. What can I do, please help. Thank you!

early 2011 macbook pro 13" - after removing my sd card a couple times due to impatience with the eject feature taking too long, my laptop began failing to show the sd card anywhere, not in finder, not in disk utility, not in terminal, not in image capture. tried cleaning the sd card slot. no help. tried blowing in the slot to clear dust. no help. i feared maybe the sd card slot was physically damaged by my hasty removal of my sd cards. finally found this video and did the SMC reset (disconnect battery, hold power button for 5 seconds, reconnect battery, power up) and that did the trick.
