Krishnamurti padheya te suneya tu bai mannleya. Krishnamurti was right but guru ji went manifold ahead of him. He was the ultimate pacifist. That can't work in a world filled with actions which lead to power grab in the hands of those who are ridden with vices. Inner sanatorium through self analysis and total observation is necessary but you can't leave everything at that when the outer world is going up in flames. You have to make that the foundation stone for righteous action ਧਰਮ ਯੁੱਧ and that's what baba nanak lead us on.

Sikhi isn't an 'organized religion' like the image this word creates in your head. Sikhi is organized around the creed of the ultimate sovereigns, who arrive at sovereignty within and without through observation of their own mind and through might. Krishnamurti wouldn't have had the privilege of practicing total observation if not for the application of free society that he was provided with. The Gurus and most humans don't have that privilege. If free beings won't hold the reigns of political powers and bend it to their will, the ones who are jarred with mental taints will do so and they'll obliterate the notion of free minds and free men altogether. Sit and meditate on this.

Bhindranwala never told anyone to act violently. He talked about the discrimination by the state against punjab and Sikhs. He told sikhs they are not being true to their faith. This was a wake up call for lot of Sikhs. They started taking amrit. And you know when you take amrit you become Khalsa. Khalsa must bear arms all times. There is nothing fanatical about it. In other countries democratic ways are respected. But Indian state don’t care about any democratic values.

It's clear you did not watch the whole video nor did you read the diaspora pulling brief on the website nor did you read The stance response comments document from the hard data on the website nor did you go through the research and thought process presentation on the website and lastly you failed to understand the nature of the organization that there are several drafters several members and Harinder Singh was only doing an outreach lecture here based on several peoples work that is on the website these are not his thoughts alone nor his work alone it's a whole team of Sikhs that did this work full time for a year intrinsically tied to the events of 2015. What you have done here is simply critique a hashtag title and critique the text on the update page on their website without understanding the context of what that update was for....context being it was a response to a very particular inquiry from a particular person who might have been in a position to upset the establishment i.e Kiranjot Kaur... you should really read things in their entirety before writing comments that show you have not done your due diligence and frankly are just put right uninformed.

I think there is a problem in replies to Jasnoor Kaur ji. These replies are not carefully reading a critical or rather a scholarly evaluation of this video. That is why these replies are personal in nature, criticizing Jasnoor ji for commenting without reading the details on website Free up Akal Takht or to ask her ‘Look who is talking?’ etc. I think such responses are emotional vents. Why are these questions being raised? To make her feel bad that why did she even comment? Remember critical evaluations are also involvements. Stubbornly refusing to listen to any critical evaluation is only exposing that this is not a platform that allows a difference of opinion. I think there is an internal contradiction here. We want to proclaim that we are voice of 30 million Sikhs and not even ready to take one critical feedback that goes against a pre-set disposition. Even if she might have not mentioned the details of documents on Freeup Akal Takht website in her comment, it could also be because she does not require to mention details in her comment. The wider questions that she raises go much beyond the nitty-gritties of details on website documents and do not require any kind of dissection that she is criticized for. I agree with Jasnoor Kaur bhenji. Her suggestions are very honest. I think if we elaborate her point a little further an inference that can be drawn is that if activists in diaspora are sincere about Sikh issues then there should be a Gurdwara Sudhar Lehar or (Gurdwara reform movement) in the West, before suggesting Freeup Akal Takht. We need to free up diasporic Gurdwaras from egoistic management committees that we often notice are violently clashing over trivial issues only trying to control management committees and financial resources. In other words, before freeing up Akal Takht, we need to free up the Gurdwaras in West and set a model for Punjab to follow. This to me is a very fair demand from all of us and we should not divert the issue. She is also intrinsically suggesting that Sikhs in Punjab and especially villages in Punjab do not connect emotionally with any of these theoretical models/bullet points/presentations/charters etc., on websites. To them these are only theoretical classroom discussions. Also, for most Sikhs a model already exists, which is already established by the Guru himself. All that is needed is to cleanse the thought processes through intellectual development that can foster the institution of Akal Takht and Sikhi overall. For that Sikhs need to read and write books. We need to question ourselves how many books have we read and authored something of international scholarly standards? In all fairness, Jasnoor Bhenji’s suggestions indicates that if we free up Akal Takht with greater diaspora involvement, how would that be different when the community (including diasporic community) itself is poor in its conviction, thought processes and mindsets? Even if we criticize her by asking her to clarify her personal involvement on this issue, we are only diverting the issue that she is raising in Sikh spirit. Harinder’s suggestions in this video are significant. But reading in between the lines, these suggestion only exposes religious/ moral corruption of Sikh leadership in Punjab. Are Sikh in diaspora morally and egoistically greatest in terms of Sikhi? We all know the answer and I am also questioning myself by raising that question. Jasnoor Bhenji’s suggestions certainly need a second and a third and fourth visit to internalize its essence beyond her words.
