@sirjiwan Nimrat ji…I am impressed with a very meaningful dialogue and discussion initiated by you. I think that with passage of time (in last 500 years) there has been progressive degeneration of moral and ethical standards in our society. It has been more significant in last 50 years. Hopefully we will again become a better and equality oriented society at least in Punjab and Punjabi culture. Keep up doing this very work. 🙏
its simple - what you have to understand is that we are born without any flaws but society and friends introduce the flaws (discrimination, inequality) in us and then we become trained to distant ourselves from real understanding of Sikh perspectives. So, the question in this interview is only focused on how to undo those learning points in our mind set - so you have existing population with messed up understanding of Sikh direction and then there are new population coming or going to come out soon. The big question is: How do you fix the issues amongst existing population to draw a big change in the future? The damage is too big already and requires a huge amount of resources (financial, spiritual, people with deep knowing) to work with people in regions. People will only listen once they have had their financial security, equality in system and stable healthy lifestyle - they will then open up to the idea of change in their internal behaviours. Its very tough though as the damage has been done and undoing the damage is quite a challenge at the same time. People change for few days and they return to old patterns again - it requires a massive revolutionary work to bring over a sheet of change that people see nothing but equality and Sikh perspective to the existence of all creatures in harmony and joy…

Like when Muslim in other countries (like Pakistan) talk about Muslims of India and their problems, they should be careful and let the Indian Muslims solve it for themselves within their own country and constitution. I mean we should also give respect to majority and focus on our problems and try to solve these problems within constitution, in talk with the other people. I mean we as people of south Asia should work together to solve people's problems no matter what is our religion or nationality.

1. Original inspiration of Gurusaheb’s teaching was based on fight against oppression and discrimination. You need to come on a common platform to resolve it. Today Sikhs are uncomfortable because their Gurus have done the same actions towards other religions to bring equality. Giving water in opposite direction in River Ganges or putting feet towards Kaba, these all were considered as acts of “beadabi” or disrespect. But Guru Nanak was trying to bring forth the realisation that God does not dwells in buildings or rituals. So, review beadabi. Pick up two Gutkhas both would have different Bani and interpretations of Sikh rituals, one group who disagrees tears it apart giving way to the sacrilege story. To reduce beadabi 1. You need to streamline the Bani and teach people protocols around it. Discrimination starts from as basic thing as pronunciation sometimes. I hope you got an idea. Hence, in modern day and age it is important to stick to rules or regulations than religions. Wearing a Seatbelt should be mandatory for every religion. 2. Hopefully after Covid Sikhs have realised that Brahmanical practices of discrimination was based on hygiene or gender and both of these are somehow interrelated. When power was shared with not so educated or downtrodden and they started the same discriminatory practices within sikh diaspora, a lot of introspection was done. 3. About feminity of Bani, it is because the entire conversation in Bani is between Atma and Parmatma. Atma or soul which is within a physical body is the part of the larger consciousness known as Parmatma or God and through that trajectory it has come to the physical world and longs to go back and merge within the Parmatma. It has few duties to be performed on earth for which it always looks upon the Parmatma for correct guidance. 4. Gender Equality can only be there in terms of education and experience as most of the masculine work is done with machines, but carrying a baby in womb is still a woman’s role. Genders have their specific roles asssigned by the nature hence, they have to perform those roles specifically. Social equality needs value addition more than education or experience. 5. Women does not needs to attain a status of Devi to get respect, it has to be taught to a man to practice restraints. Sau kyun manda akhiye Jit janme raja.

Because we are following what the Hindus are doing - we are not in real Sikh. We don’t teach anything about the Sikhs ir Punjab. Sikhi is taught to us by the Hindus. We have pictures of the Gurus. We dress up like them We follow in their footsteps not Sikhi. Sikh 4:28 Women keep Karvachat We keep diyas and water by the grant Sahib We do all that Guru Nanakji took us away from. Sad-

Harinder Singh Ji. The point about gender fluidity is devoid of the temporal experience of aatma. It is androon/inner reality and we cant loan understanding of gender fluidity from cooked up propaganda from western universities to disrupt traditional units of society. It is not organic unlike (i might use a hindu term here to describe the dual nature of reality or parmatma) Ardhnareshwar which is beyond mental or physical manifestation into this world.
