Fontaine has yet another locked area. This time it's the Primordial Sea from In the Wake of Narcissus. Let's break in!

At this point i think they are deliberately leaving holes because its become a part of enjoyment for a small target-audience of theirs. Keeps players engaged with the game that want to do more than just play it normally, while also giving them access to do those weird things without actually having them resort to try cheating or anything bigger.

Something to add: 1. You can place portable waypoints underwater out of bounds 2. If the tower loads too fast, you can still access the water currents via a hole in the terrain near the tower

It’s funny because there’s another hole into the void around the puzzle in the south, on the roof, also allowing you to reenter this place. It’s difficult to describe where it is, but I swear it’s there. Edit: I made a video showing where it’s low quality but if you’re curious you can watch it I guess.

That.... doesn't really tell anything? There's a lot of puzzles, literally what roof? and South could be anywhere from Romartime Harbor (obviously not it) to the South East in Morte region (new region). I'm not being nitpicky but it's too vague, and I want to see what place it is. Or is this a glitch hole thing?

@@pokedude720 You can start with ancient colors with the melusine mamere and multiple other quests! I believe ANcient colors has the most lore for introduction initially which will help your understanding :D You can also do Aqueous Tidemarks by the Court of Fontaine Statue of the Seven, Ann of Narzissnkreuz in Annapausis or Unfinished Comedy if you enter Fort Meropide! These all can be done at the same time as Ancient Colors but they will all tie together once finished. I entered fort meropide before doing any of the archon quest which was fun but made me rather nostalgic and wishing to see the npcs there when I was actually completing the archon quest a bit later!

I remember a while back when you made the video of getting back to the Mary-Ann house and now this update they made that area permanently accessible... I wonder if they will bring back more of these areas later as permanent visitable spots (it's already wasting storage space anyway, might as well). Maybe not this one in particular, there isn't much to it anyway, though I would like to see them designing an entire dungeon (like chasm or enkanomiya) themed around the funky water place

I tried going there by following the video, but I might have accidentally dove too deep, as just when I spotted the ring, everything turned purple and I fell down to the area from above instead. Then I had to fly a little bit to make it to the actual area. On my first attempt I fell though the floor, missing the enclosed area by a little. Fortunately the fall just brought me back to the purple sea just before I fell down so it was easy to repeat it and fall down again, this time flying to the correct area.

The environment in there looks absolutely AMAZING on high graphics. I played on the lowest graphics possible because of my pc and it looked cool but not as much as this

In the recent patch the tower loads quickly and the water is no longer there, but if you follow the terrain and fly down you can still get there!! Go until you see the water mountains/ floating water pillars, then you’ll find a clearing. You’ll be able to enter the barrier after that!!

this is the first time i really got to glitch in genshin, previously i was only days off when they fixed glitches but i finally got to experience one and it was one of my favorite places in genshin the primordial sea is so etheral thank you moosashi!

Things not loading till you get close is a resource management trick along with loading low res textures at a distance to give the illusion of a big open world. This is why you can play Genshin on a phone. It only really properly loads a bubble around you often even based on your character view camera. Sometimes this gets a bit glitchy if you turn quickly and it needs to load a lot in at once you’ll take a quick fps hit. Try looking at a wall then quickly turning to a big overlook. Programmers are getting really damn good at these tricks, especially on low resources systems like phones and the switch.

Since 4.2 release, you can now take photos while seated using the Kamera gadget.

Actually even if it all loads in, you can still go to the sea, as long as you find it under the map, like you showed, there's a little area right in the middle (you'll know because there's no spikes in that area) you can go in that way, since theres a barrier there in the quest to avoid you leaving too far and it's still there.

Some things that I noticed while trying this out: Once your in the underwater section, you can swim straight down and end up in the primordial sea. There's even a small bit of water above it so you can swim above it if your careful enough to not swim to far down. Also, you can't set up a portable way point there but I could set one up in the underwater section

I found this area by accident before. I just wanted to know what was under the tower underwater and found a way out of bounds but I accidentally triggered that glowy portal thingy that pulled me to that area. I tried researching about it but there's only one to two articles about it. Cause it was just recently updated at that time. I had so much fun taking pictures. It's so pretty there!!

I just wanted to mention, there is still a way to get inside (through the water stream) even if the tower fully load like it happened to me. Going around the tower down can lead you to small crack that will pull you into the stream.

I literally went to a wall in the city that was pretty close to a house, managed to unload practically the entire Court of Fontaine, and explored everything on the map, even out of bounds

I found this by accident few days ago but used different hole the hole on other side of the map where the boss is and for your own convince you can just put down portable waypoint somewhere under the map preferably somewhere in middle I've put my next to marcotte station to the left on the edge of the beach (the bigger patch) and grass I find it easier to go right above it because idk how but always load the tower somehow

If you are talking about the water place, just glide from the area outside the tower. I made it without going through the tower so you can too. Just look for the little arena so you don't fall through the map into the void like I did

(excuse the wording lol) i'm doing a black map challenge - exploring as much as i can while not activating any statues of the 7. well except the first one in mondstadt bc i'm not that hardcore 😅 so i didn't activate any fontaine statues either, which means i can't dive, so i have to find other ways to get underwater. but in some places i just couldn't do it, and i've tried for months... tried looking for holes like the one in this video too, but i'm not very good at it. so, thanks so much! i can probably get anywhere now, and my challenge is a ton of fun again!

Genshin Devs allows us to return to a previously locked domain after a quest, only to lock another domain.... Edit: oh and speaking of taking pictures in domains, in the 4.2 livestream the zoom lens should allow us to finally do so.

My phone struggles hard enough to play Genshin that I can go out of bounds almost anywhere underwater due to the delay of scenery load. At this point I'm probably just as familiar with how the map looks from without as within. I wish I could reduce the skybox effects as happened in Trial Nilou's world. The cyan effect makes it hard to see very far.

speaking of the place mentioned at 2:42. ive been trying real hard to find it somewhere under the map, where i assumed it would be because the minimap changed when i approached the border, but i couldnt find in either of the locations the minimap said it was. does anybody know where it is on the map, or if im mistaken and its its own separate map?

Make sure it is the right one. From the waypoint, you go over the first set of stairs and it should be the pillar by the second set that would be in front of you

Yup, it's the end of a very long quest chain that started all the way in 4.0 - it's about the Narzissenkreuz Ordo. If you haven't done it yet, I highly recommend you to do so!

Two options! You can either just drop down into the Primordial Sea, ignoring the room with the jetstream entirely; or you can drop below the structure and climb up the exit to reach the jetstream. I can't say for certain the second way works, but in theory it should.

You can still enter the sea area and even the tower, you have to glide slightly south and towards the east from the loaded platform and you'll just enter the area. Once inside there will be one spot that looks like there is light shining down on it and that's where the walkable area is. If on your way over you see a random floating rock, you can glide towards and around it until you find the opening and climb into that. You'll know if you're in the right tunnel if you look up and see the current/ a ceiling that belongs inside the tower. When you've climbed high enough the current will grab you and you can effortlessly float into primordial sea :)

The hole there is sealed shut for mobile players. Lucky for PC players its working for you.

It is not too hard. You just need to find the hole and climb through it. I did it like 10 minutes ago. Once out of bounds, just simply find your way to the water (many different ways) and then look for the circle, which is the tower base, and swim towards it. Once loading it in, you can go in like in the video, or glide out to the place. It is a bit lower down, so make sure you get the area message to know you are near and then just glide towards the arena
