the thing with accurig is you cant use it for game jams because reallusion policies say that there CC4 components need to have a purchased extended liscence on top of the software cost to make the assets eligible for public viewing. accurig is using a CC4 component to auto rig so it is free for personal use only. in this case the autorig pro add on and mixamo are the way to go. other options are generating characters from mb lab and makehuman mpfb add on though i was unable to refactor their rigs if changes need to be made to the charactors. maybe you can look into how to modify characters from these plugins and edit their rigs next.

Can it also be used with Auto Rig Pro? :) I really like the human ARP rig with all its great IK options

honestly this seems a bit more involved than just setting up rigify lol, but appreciate that you show more options at least!

I've had issues with rigify not weighting properly, 0 with Accurig. Also adding accurig animations on the the character inside blender is really easy.

thats great! one question, if you export your character from accurig with animation or pose it transfers to your target app (like blender for example) with it?

keep getting the error, "armature object has no attribute "materials". Any way to fix this?

When I go to the Rigging and Animation settings tab it says "no current character" after I import it from accurig.

Can this be done with LEGO models made in Blender?

Haven't tried LEGO models but it technically should work with any human like character, but you probably have to tweak the weight painting in blender to get a more robotic movements for the LEGO character.

I hate that Accurig removes all shapekeys from the model and changes all the vertexes, so you can even transfer them on to it easily.

bro come on :D other than downloading accurig and the add-on (which is a one time thing) other steps are fast af, and the results is way better than rigify/mixamo since u have more control over it.
