Good for:
- Hustling backstage during a tight show with short changes
- Improving your overall balance in heels (Running in heels will turn you into a pro at walking in in heels, trust me.)
-Developing toned calves
-Catching a bus or hailing a taxi
-Rushing through busy city streets while also not getting your stiletto caught in a storm drain or grate.
-Fleeing your enemies
VERY IMPORTANT:
- Do not do this unless you have strong ankles, core strength, and intermediate comfort in heels (This is a one--way ticket to Sprained-ankle-ville if you're trying to run without first learning how to walk with basic form and proper posture.)
-PLEASE wear the right size shoe. Too big a shoe can cause your footwear to slip off, which can be dangerous. If possible, select a shoe with a strap so your foot is firmly attached.
- Practice with a shoe you don't care too much about. It's going to add some wear and tear, especially along the bottoms.
-Don't run for too long... running in heels keeps your achilles "shortened" due to the heel being kept up. When you're done, over-flex both feet with some achilles stretches to re-extend and restore them again.

Oh there were definitely some funny looks 😂 and good question! During a live telecast, the timing is so tight, contestants usually don’t have time to drastically switch other makeup. (Preliminaries are bit more relaxed if the contestants only have one area per evening.) At Miss America, I didn’t even have time to change my hairstyle either. I just had one makeup look for the entire night. But I put my hair up for my ballet talent performance. (If there is time for makeup adjustments, it’s usually just enough time for some powder to reduce shine and some lipgloss.)

Funnily enough I could run in heels before I could walk in them. My first heel was a wedge for summer which I needed years to learn to walk in and stairs were super hard. I regulary fell in them and I don't own them anymore since I barely wore them and the strap got worn out. Now I own two block heels which are more my style and I learned much faster to walk in them.

i used to uber and i once picked up a lady and some dude. and the dude whispered something in her ear. and she took off her heels because "they hurt" and she started having "stomach pains" so i pulled over so she can puke, and soon as she stepped outside she bolted off. and the dude got out and i took off too. lol i dont know what happened but i notified police. hope that lady was okay tho.

Did you ever see these high heel sprinting races by women? Damn, these women can run faster in their high heels then most men like myself can run in our running sneakers. Running 100 meters in 14 to 15 seconds in high heels is amazing fast which some women are able to do in these 100 m races.

As a drag queen I've learnt to run jump fight dance and even swim in almost any shoe a common mistake is that like you said you run on the front of your feet not flat the heels you shouldn't even be touching the ground at all if your not good at running in heels a block heel is a lot easier to run in the heel is thicker so thundering off of the ground running at top speed the heel can absorb the shock a pleaser or a stiletto not so much but they're still possible to run in
