How to save extract all the images from a PowerPoint presentation

This video shows you extract and save all the images from a PowerPoint presentation without the need to save them one at a time. This will save you lots of time if you need to reuse the images in other presentations or documents.

These do not export in alphabetical order - I.E. Slide30.jpg comes before Slide4.jpg. It should be Slide04.jpg or is there any way to provide a map of the file names to include leading zeros?

Hello! Perhaps you could help out. None of my saved Power Point presentations have the ".pptx" at the end of the title, just the title presented. If I simply add the ".zip" at the end of the title, nothing happens. I tried viewing the files in different ways, but there is never ".pptx" written anywhere.

In file explorer--> View --> tick the file name extensions checkbox

Good one. It worked but is not the thing I was looking for. Do you know how to export all the slides in individual images, where every animation added on the screen is a different image? For example, on slide 1 I have 3 objects appearing one by one with animation and none of them disappear. I want to be able to export 3 different images so I can have each stage of the slide in one individual image. Thank you!! @InIT Learning

This is not working - I'm on a MAC and normally my zip folders open without issue.

Hi you may need to download The Unarchiver for Mac before you go through the process as per the video.

On the PPT file just right-click and choose the file to open with Rar or any archive opener then you can find the folders.

Explanation starts at 2:30: 1. Duplicate the Powerpoint file 2. Change its extention to .zip 3. Within the zipped folder, navigate to ppt > media. This is where all the images are.
