Swedish is such a dangerous language! I'm amazed with the amount of words that if we pronounce just slightly different we can totally ruin our comunication 😅

It really is not THAT dangerous 😅. We just focussed a lot on those to drive the point across. Which is often missed by many schools, that pronunciation is VERY important. And how Swedish pronunciation works can be very counter intuitive.

Don't worry. Swedes often mistake the word "chin" för the Swedish word "kind" which means cheek and is pronounced almost the same.

Swedtsh is the perfect language for talking about cuddling: I will always remember getting a love letter full of _bamsekramar_ (teddy-bear hugs) from a student who signed off with _mys i massor och gosegosegos_ (lots of coziness and snuggle-wuggle-wuggles)!

Vi älskar er. To make it present tense you need the R in the end there. Otherwise it becomes infinitive 😊

Herr Mannelig is very beautiful, especially the way Garmarna group sings it. Their Ett Dolt Begär is also very, I'd say *very* romantic. Check if you really feel that way before singing it to someone as a surprise ;)

I swear I can pronounce all other words and sentences correctly but it’s so hard for me to say jag älskar dig correctly 😭😭 whenever I say it, it just sounds wrong 😢

No, a Swedish man that age usually doesn't say that very often. Doesn't mean he doesn't love you.
