Then that means there’s an open man somewhere. Getting REALLY technical, you SHOULD still score if he has a man on the line if it’s perfectly in the top corner. But otherwise, pass it short

that's not a glitch in the game that's the rules of football, if you have a stoppage in play you can make a sub, the ball doesn't have to go out of play to make a sub.
