Wanted to let some of.you know cause you have not seen you show this as of yet my brother👍, if and when you find a A/C or drug you can take the compressor unit out and cut it open , it does have minimal oil in it, but it is also housing about one to two bounds of copper in it, if you take it as a unit you will only get around 0.23 or less a.pound which is a big loss ,also if you take the AC coils and cut the steel off th m you will get around 1.75 a bound more or. less, it all depends on your scrap yard, have a blessed and wonderful day/night 🙏✌️

Hi James. Enjoying your videos,i used to scrap full time as my primary income i do different things now but still as you say "Hobby scrap" i Googled your "machete" looks like it actually is a Piece of cutlery made in Sheffield England and "shear steel" is made the same way as Damascus steel! I also would venture to say it could be OVER 100 years old so you might want to try making a replacement and stop beating on it lol peace and blessings to you.

@@scrapitall200 I just googled "I Wilson shear steel" and found all kinds of interesting information. Good luck and you may want to Google that firehouse valve and makers marks on the other brass items... People don't think to research stuff before they toss it out AND B4 they scrap it.... So much history and tradition end up in the shredder and the melt furnace when someone else needs the part to complete a restoration project or a museum display so if ya don't know what it is please look it up and see what you can find it's fun also!!! Lol
