It depends on how diluted you want the sea foam in your gas to be, I chose to have less gas in the car as I wanted the sea foam to be more concentrated as the car I have is 200000km+

How does the work now does it work better than before I'm referring to the intake portion the first some reason now I'm getting a 420 code and these are brand new cats that I just purchased and placed inside the vehicle I have no problem with the other one just a 420 well that's clear and clean the cats as well what do you know

just the 2nd resonator and muffler are deleted, rest is stock

if you immediately change the oil. you remove Seafoam from the oil pan - let it do its work.

I ran it low so the mixure of the seafoam in the fuel would be more potent, i typically dont run it that low haha

or change the fuel filter regularly.

@@dkrawk8309 We're talking about a pretty modern gasoline engine design. If you think seafoam is the solution to improper use and lack of maintenance of a car then sorry but you're dreaming. I'd recommend spending that money on good quality gasoline.

@hitom43 riiiight, good quality gasoline is going to have SOOOOO much impact on the intake valves that have hot air coming in and generate carbon build up which causes them to sieze. Like honestly, just stop spreading your hallucinations t9 other people. Sorry

@@theonlyxa a couple of days ago i replaced the icv on my e46. It was running like crap and i couldn't figure out. Symptoms like vacuum leak, bad spark plugs, hard engine brake or sometimes not at all. Heard a small short-circuit like noise from the area and just replaced the piece, why not (especially since it's not that expensive). Purrs like a cat, mind you there were no codes no nothing. Short answer: these are now very old cars and pieces will probably not work as intended anymore.

@@_mrklein no problem. If its dead low and you are pushing it too hard, the pump is sucking the fuel very fast. It needs to be submerged in the fuel non stop. Since you are accelerating really fast, the gravity is pushing that dead reserve away from the pump, in the back of the reservoir, so your pump is not taking the fuel constantly, instead its taking it with pauses, so its damaging your pump aaaand your high pressure.. Uuuummmm.... Sprinklers inside the engine.. I dont know how you call them in English. I hope you understand me :). This beast requires fuel to be always at least on a quarter full, so when you push it too hard, the fuel system can work properly

@@noobsaibot1890 That's not how fuel pumps work. This vehicle doesn't have a high pressure fuel pump(s) fyi that's on newer direct injected turbo models and such. Engineers know your going to drive on hills or accelerate fast and all that with low fuel reserves. The tank has provisions designed for that such as baffles or a sponge like reservoir that makes sure the tank is always slurping up some fuel regardless. I never run my car low anyways but just saying high pressure fuel pumps are located usually in the engine bay on modern BMW's not in the tank that is the Low Pressure Fuel Pump and its job is exactly as described (Low Pressure Fuel). Not a mechanic here but just letting you know. The OP is nice enough to just take the "advice" with a smile and that's good on him.

And to take a risk on replacing an S54 motor rather then a few sensors is a safer bet
